I attended Lee's Tae Kwon Do Academy in 4th grade and thoroughly enjoyed it…read more Master Lee is a fantastic teacher and I enjoyed how positive he is. He and his wife are both very welcoming, and I instantly fell in love with the place. I broke my ankle and moved 4 years ago, but I talk about wanting to visit a lot. Lee's Tae Kwon Do Academy was my first Martial Arts experience, and it helped me very well with being respectful and caring about my grades. He is very kind and pays attention well to every student, making sure they know everything they need to know without pressuring them. I love Lee's Tae Kwon Do Academy, and I hope Master Lee and his Wife are doing well. -Addilynn Peterson

I initially wanted to enroll my 5 year old in classes to help with discipline, structure outside…read moreour home, meeting goals, dedication, etc. Before younger children are enrolled, they attend beginner classes so that Master Lee can evaluate whether or not they are ready for classes. This evaluation is free. Master Lee will articulate to the children's family member why they might not be ready, what to work on and a time line to re-evaluate. I have attached documents containing Master Lee's welcome letter, credentials/achievements as well as why someone might want to practice this art. Thirty four years ago I took classes and 18 years ago attended classes while I was stationed in Korea. After watching my son, I was motivated to join myself! Because I have previous injuries, suffer from PTSD and have anxiety, I consulted with my VA doctor to get her opinion. She thought it was a great idea not only for the reasons above but to help with my flexibility, improve my core strength and to overall promote activity and circulation. Master Lee promotes doing alternate exercises and moves to those who have limitations. Master Lee's wife, "Mama Lee" is such a wonderful part of this academy. She is very welcoming, personable, warm, has a wealth of knowledge and is a black belt as well with over 20 years of experience as well! While going through the admissions process and she is very thorough. Both Master Lee and Mama Lee treat everyone as part of their family. Mama Lee even looks after the children who's parents/caregivers who need to run errands during their class. Everyone is welcome to sit and watch their children. I most definitely recommend this academy to both children and adults! If anything, just attend a free beginners class to see if its for you!

I am so grateful to have found Yoga on Helm St. I called to let Cheryl know I was coming and when I arrived she was so welcoming and already had a mat and props set up for me. She introduced me to the other students and asked me about my yoga practice and if I had any injuries she needed to know about. Then we got started with the class (I went to the Saturday morning Power Yoga). First of all, her studio is beautiful, clean, and warm. She has plenty of mats, blankets, blocks, etc available for anyone to use, which is great because I have nothing with me! The class was great, she explains everything well and uses the traditional names, which I appreciate a lot. She is really passionate about her practice, learning, and teaching. I am looking forward to going to more classes with her! The first class is complimentary, so you should definitely check it out at least once. $15 per class, or you can buy 6-12-18 class passes at a cheaper rate.
