The employees are always prompt in arriving and are courteous and willing to explain what and why they did what they did. Jim senior ran a great business and shaped the business into what it is today. We have never questioned the bill and always felt that we were getting our money's worth. It is comforting to know that the people you hire are honest and trustworthy. Today I had an appointment to check my furnace. We noticed the house was getting cool and the furnace did not turn on. We had a lot of company for Easter and I believe my grandson probably turned the furnace switch off accidentally. The service man was at the house for about five minutes. I do understand that people do have to get paid for their time but my house is ten minutes from Henderson and the bill was more than eighty dollars ($80.00). That does seem excessive but I learned a lesson and will mark the switch better so it doesn't happen again. I will also ask how much they normally charge for a service call and how much they get paid per hour. I have faith in this business and recommend them very highly but will ask for an estimate before work begins. In my opinion you will not find a better contractor in the area.

Money Hungary Shysters…read more I had Jim's Plumbing Heating and electrical come and fix my furnace. The 1st time they came, they fixed the problem and guaranteed me that they world came back if the furnace stated to act up again. While they were fixing my furnace, they seemed more concerned about getting home as soon as possible and chipped my kitchen counter in the rush. I was not impressed, but was happy to have heat again. 5 days later, the furnace stopped working again. When Jim's came back I asked if he was going to charge me for this visit and was told no. The technetium told me there was water in the tank and all I needed was a bottle of HOT. I went out and bought the oil treatment and put it in my tank and now everything is working fine. A week later I received a bill. I had no problem with the bill and paid it. A few days after that, I got another bill for the second visit. I was being charged twice for the same job. When I called Jim's, they told me I was being charged for two different situations. I had the same problem, 5 days apart, and was guaranteed that they would come back if the problem continued. They refuse to lower the charges, and I have dropped them as my plumbing, heating, and electrical guys. I also want to add that while they worked on my furnace, they kept trying to scare me into upgrading. They told me that my tank was installed wrong, my fuel filter is in the wrong place, and told me that I better have it fixed soon before something breaks and all my fuel ends up on the ground. I have since then had another heating company come over and tell me otherwise. I don't like and don't trust these people, and wouldn't recommend them to anybody.

Responding to messages! I know! It's crazy right? With all the storms and winter seasonal damage jobs happening they still made me feel important. They scheduled the job and called a couple days before to confirm. My property is on a slope so access to the yard is difficult. Elliot & sons had some of the newest equipment allowing access without destroying the lawn (in the rain no less!) They did all the work expected and a few little extras along the way. Upon finishing they cleaned up the yard and tamped down any ruts. The crew was respectful, friendly and entertaining! As far as cost, the quote was less than I expected. Considering the process just described I think it was some of the best money I ever spent!

Crescent Gutter Works is an outstanding company, with "Old School" pride in professionalism,…read morediligent work, making their own gutters to fit the house shape and needs! They earned an A+ grade for their work. Todd is the owner, but he works on an equal respect basis with Tom who was his first employee many years ago and Pat. They worked effectively, with mutual standards and perfectionism. His other workers also have a history of working with the Company and quality experience. The job was done extremely well and they cleaned up everything afterward. They also corrected the errors that the roof Company, ignored or did not address, which had caused a major injury and destruction of our gutters. USAA determined that the gutters were totally destroyed by snow/ice sliding into the gutters, which were about five years old. Todd, Tom and Pat had a lot of problems to fix. The cause of our disaster was having a new roof installed by a local Watertown Company. We asked the roofing construction owner three times, if my gutters, which seemed to be too close to the edge of the roof they put on, was risking our gutter integrity. I was concerned that sliding snow and ice could catch them and tear them off. He repeatedly told my wife and I that they were properly located with the roof edge and the gutters would not be touched by any run off. Bottom line, Crescent Gutters has an honest owner and long term very credible staff. I would DEFINITELY recommend then to my family members or others. Thomas Sims, 100% disabled combat veteran

Thinking that maybe he was having a bad day I dismissed his attitude and asked for advice on what I needed. He actually scoffed at me. Good job Mr. Business man.
