Then when I asked why did the appointment center allow the patient to be booked, the reception continues to tell me, that they don't have that info to make that decision about it... Ok... I call bs... But at that point in time, why wouldn't you then call me to let me know, since you obviously had intercepted our file... Just rude. You can usually tell the disposition of the Dr by the employees she keeps... We won't be back.

The receptionist asked that I be there by 2:30 to "fill out paperwork." At 2:32 when I arrived there was no other patient in the waiting room. I filled out one form and provided my insurance cards. I was then told that the hygienist had "taken another patient" and I would not be finished in time to make my appointment. I was told that I should reschedule. I asked to speak to the dentist and then I was told that the dentist would do my cleaning and I would be done in time. After being taken back by a dental assistant and x-rayed, I was then informed that the hygienist would see me after all. An older and very heavy set woman introduced herself as the hygienist. I asked her why she was 40 minutes late for my appointment and she rudely shrugged her shoulders and said "I decided to take another patient first." She smelled bad and was not at all gentle in cleaning my teeth. She then squirted water all over my face and tried to downplay her obvious incompetence and rudeness. There is no chance whatsoever I will ever let that unprofessional, rude woman near my mouth again. On the other hand Dr. Mayer seemed very nice and competent. The young dental assistant was also nice and seemed very good at her job. Perhaps Dr. Mayer should look into hiring a new hygienist because the one he has is horrible at her job and very rude and nasty too.

They later extracted a tooth without closing the gap giving her a dry socket, no antibiotics and a drug addiction accusation on a follow up visit for pain. We had a different dentist solve her problems caused here. Not only are the dentists incompetent they are insecure. Others have told me that this is the minor leagues of local dentistry.. Folks that barely make it out of school are hired there hoping to become good at something. You would be better off seeing an amateur taxidermist for your tooth care than these dental disappointments.

My husband started going to Outshine Dental in Hammond a little over a year ago. He had fillings…read moredone by Dr Haynes and began to have pain. Dr Haynes sent him to an endo where he found a crack in his tooth. Endo sent him back to Dr Haynes for a crown. They did a 3D printed crown which cracked twice and even when my husband told her it had cracked, she argued with him and told him it just "snapped" into place. He got a temporary crown which is essentially a big glob on his tooth. With continued pain, my husband went somewhere else for a 2nd opinion who found gaps in his fillings and pointed out all of the flaws in his temp crown including the fact that it's overlapping his gums, causing inflammation and globbed on one side. Dr Haynes approved of this temporary crown which makes it worse. Dr Haynes made multiple unprofessional comments to co-workers about other patients and about how she would "catch an attitude with a patient". When my husband brought these issues up with Outshine, including asking for a refund to his insurance company since he did not follow through with any further work or permanent crown, Outshines response was that he should have gone back to them to fix these issues so they refused to refund. Obviously going back to a dentist where he isn't comfortable with the work being done is out of the question. He is still in pain and will have to have work done by another dentist to fix the issues caused by Dr Haynes. Please do your research and look elsewhere for dental work.

She's treated my daughter since she (daughter) was two years old; treatments have included preventive care, fillings, and braces. Dr. Sue's been treating my son since he was 18 months old; his treatments include preventive care and fillings. She's treated my husband for TMJ. Dr. Sue and her staff make sure the job is done right, with no pain or scariness and are excellent! They are always friendly and ready to help! Dr. Sue answers calls after hours and holidays for emergencies. Dr. Sue tries to save teeth; she doesn't pull them for a quick resolution.
