However children who challenge us I have come to find have a capacity of great intelligence and it shouldn't be reprimanded but instead guided with great love and patience so that the potential is not stunted but instead flourishes. At CMSG, Athena had flourished beyond my expectations. Her socialization with her peers had improved her verbal communication immensely within weeks. And after months, after keen monitoring, her interests guided her to her strengths and in which case was mathematics. Athena was in preschool age counting, adding, subtracting and even multiplying. Imagine the feeling of asking your preschooler what was 2 x 3 and they know! I was astounded. It only goes to show the value of the Montessori Method, that running with the interest and personal strengths of the child optimizes learning. It's very intuitive and requires a love which there was an abundance of with the CMSG family. She made great friends and was introduced beautifully to cultural diversity which promotes community value and respect on a larger scale. These are the foundations in children I feel are overlooked and undervalued in public schools. It wasn't easy making the tuition but I will absolutely stand by the fact it was worth every penny. Giving your child a solid head-start is priceless and as a parent we want to give our children the best. I believe CMSG was the best decision we made for our baby. I love Julie and Dan and have great faith in them to root your child(ren) well for their best beginning. ‍

I was very apprehensive because this was a new change for me and my son. The first day of day care was very overwhelming, l dropped my son crying out of his lungs and I couldn't help but to feel very emotional questioning If I was doing the right thing. About 15 minutes later I received a call from Mrs. Belinda to reassure me that he was doing just fine. I thought that was very sweet from her because it showed that she cared and understood the situation for both; the child and the mother. Through the years it only got better! My son was being cared by a welcoming environment and warm staff that showed to be very dedicating to the children. I enjoyed that he was given a variety of developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor activities including singing, story telling, dramatic play and multi sensory fun. The Center also gives homework to the children so make sure to keep up otherwise you will hear it from Mrs. Belinda. She can be strict but that's because she cares and only wants the best interest for the child. My son (now 5 years old)has learned so much from this Center. From the start, the environment felt warm, welcoming, and genuinely focused on the kids. Our son absolutely loved going every day--he was excited to be there, which was such a relief for us as parents. During his time there, he moved up into another class and truly grew by leaps and bounds, both socially and developmentally. The play-based learning approach struck the perfect balance of fun and education, and it was clear how much thought and care went into their programs. The staff is incredible--Director Ms. Vanessa runs a tight ship while still creating a nurturing, positive atmosphere. Ms. Kiki and Ms. Alice were especially wonderful with our son, showing so much patience, kindness, and encouragement. One moment that really meant a lot to us: when we had to move out of state, they threw our son a going-away birthday party--even though his actual birthday was more than a month away. That level of thoughtfulness speaks volumes about how much they care about the kids and families. They were also very communicative throughout our time there, which we appreciated. And as a bonus, they helped solidify our son's potty training, which was a huge milestone. We only left because of our move, otherwise we would have stayed without hesitation. Highly, highly recommend Kreative Kidz Preschool to any family looking for a caring, engaging, and supportive environment for their child

I want to share my recent experience to help other families avoid going through the same situation…read more I specifically asked for financial assistance and grant information BEFORE even scheduling a daycare tour, because cost is a major factor for my family. The program director, Savi, told me that the information could not be provided until after paying a fee. After paying $125, I later learned from the funding agency that there is a waiting list over a year long, and we are currently #49. The agency also stated that providers are fully aware of these waitlists and should be disclosing this before collecting any fees. To make things worse, I was later told there was an assumption that I was already approved for assistance--which is completely untrue and contradicts the email chain. On April 9th, I was told we would need to be approved first before selecting a school, by the program director confirming we were starting the process from scratch. Because of the lack of transparency, my child still cannot attend daycare, and we were put in an unnecessary financial and childcare bind. Please, if you are a parent searching for childcare, make sure you: * Ask about funding, grant programs, and waitlists BEFORE paying any fees * Request all terms and information in writing * Verify timelines and eligibility directly with the funding agency * Confirm that the daycare is being fully transparent I'm sharing this so other families can be informed and avoid unnecessary stress during an already challenging process. Program Director did agree to refund me, so I am waiting fot the refund.

The teachers…read moreare wonderful and truly care for the children, but the program director, Savi, was unprofessional and difficult to work with. I enrolled my 2-year-old in March, and he only lasted a month in the program. During that time, he frequently missed days due to getting sick developing symptoms that led to respiratory issues. Our entire household ended up sick as well. When I called Ms. Savi to ask about the sick child protocol, she said she recommends children rest at home for 24 hours and then return, even if they still have a cough or runny nose, because "most of the children do." I explained that this wasn't working for us, as my son kept getting sick within days of returning. Instead of addressing my concerns, she responded, "Well, your child is the one that cries a lot, yea?" I explained that he cries because he is still adjusting to a new environment. She then recommended that I remove him from the facility because of how often he cries. She quickly shifted the conversation to payment for the time he was there, completely dismissing my concerns. Weeks later, she called saying she noticed my son hadn't been attending. I reminded her that she told me to remove him, and she suddenly said, "Oh no, he could have stayed for another month," and then mentioned upcoming graduations. It felt clear she was more concerned about tuition than the children's well-being. She continued to call and leave messages afterward, which I chose to ignore. Overall, the facility itself has great learning tools and caring teachers, but Savi's lack of professionalism, empathy, and regard for children's health and safety overshadowed the positives. I would not recommend this program to parents seeking a truly supportive environment for their child.

*I am editing this review as of 6-27-12 as I have now seen md a. original review.*…read more When I read this review from my iPhone, it does not show the original review that md a. wrote. I also do hear that the director there may be there past her prime, this review is based on my perspective as a father. Although I speak 100% English to my daughter, my wife speaks 100% Japanese to my daughter. I think this is a great school that provides a lot of opportunities for those that want their kids to learn Japanese or at least enforce what they can retain. There are class moms that assist with the parents in helping with various activities that this preschool has. They do have a Halloween event, Christmas event, some other event that involves hitting a watermelon blindfolded (Suikawari), and an athletic event which the whole family can get involved called Undokai in the spring. There are bake sales and Teriyaki chicken sales, throughout the year. For those that miss very few classes, there are attendance awards in June for those that miss the least days of preschool. Also in the middle of June prior to the completion of the spring session, there is a day where kids can play on 2 jumpers should they wish to expel their energy. As for the staff, of course all of them speak fluent Japanese. English most likely is not their first language but they do have an understanding of it. For those students and parents that do not understand Japanese, there are those that can help you understand what is going on. The teachers are mostly older than probably other Japanese preschools in the area but they do a great job facilitating a pleasant learning environment. Of course with any school, parents can meet each other prior to dropping off or picking up their kid(s) so it can serve as a place for parents to find out which friends your kids enjoy playing with. There is a day that is set where parents collectively can visit your child's class to see what goes on during their daily activity. For those that attend the summer sessions, there are 2 days each week designated for pool day so the kids can cool off in the plastic wading pools that are set up. Play toys are available in each classroom and are based on the age of the child. As far as outdoor play equipment, there are also 2 large sandboxes, tricycles to ride, a secure place for kids to run on concrete, a play gym, and 2 Little Tyke style houses for the kids to play in. This school has allowed our daughter to grow up in an environment she is comfortable in. It helped that we attended the Gardena Buddhist Church so our daughter was accustomed to the environment and not shocked into a preschool. After 2 years of this school, she will now go to an English school so she can start the transition to Kindergarten. It is always good to register early in any preschool so you have a good chance of enrolling there. We would send our other daughter to go there but since we moved, we will enroll our 2nd one to another local Japanese preschool.

Her teachers are prepared for the learning that will take place for the day, show positivity and love in their interactions with students, and provide opportunities for each family to be actively engaged in their child's learning and development. As a member of a multinational & multiethnic family, I appreciate the time teachers and staff take to ensure the intent and meaning behind school activities is explained for both English speakers & Native Japanese speakers as well. The entire staff and faculty are available and open to any questions you may have, and embody an extraordinary level of care and professionalism. Thank you for providing such a beautifully positive and caring environment for my daughter to grow within.

This school is soooo reasonable and the education is top notch. You pay $130 per week. First, if your Catholic you will appreciate the fact that it is being run by the Sister of St. Claire's. It was a little intimidating at first because they are the real thing. They are Godly, stern, caring and compassionate. It is amazing to send your kids to a faith based school that teaches your kids faith followed by a top notch education. I am very good about teaching my kids at home but that coupled with the education at St. Anthony's put my boys at an educational advantage. This school is well structured and safe environment for kids. They are also big on socialization skills which is important for preschoolers. They put on a shows like the spring show, coronation of the Virgin Mary, All Saints day and some many other cool stuff.
