It is a little hard to find (Hense the Secret) but look for Rockin Cat Cafe and its to the left, up a flight of steps. I didn't see any disabled entrances, so keep that in mind if you visit and need accommodations. The shop is quiet but the woman who helped us was pleasant and answered any questions we had. They had anime music playing in the background but not so loud that it was overbearing. Price wise it's on par with Barnes and Noble and 2nd Charles but the selection is much better and varied/unique. I ended up just buying a good luck charm but plan to visit again when we're in the area.

The place is adorably decorated and has a nice size, curated book collection with something to offer for everyone. I was greeted by the owner who was so kind and also rang me up. My books were packaged so nicely with decorative tissue paper too! I found two books here that have been on my list to grab: Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid and Crying in H-Mart by Michelle Zauner (singer in the band Japanese Breakfast!). Both books are paperback which is my preference, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that Crying in H-Mart was 30% off! There is an area for kids, a cafe area serving coffee and drinks, and a nice outdoor patio area as well. This place has it all! If you're in the area, be sure to stop by and browse!

Outside of the store, they have book carts with $5 and under books. The store is two floors, and the upper floor has a cozy reading area. The shelves in the store are separated by genre and there are also tables with owner-recommended books. In addition to books, there are also plants for sale. The place is so nicely decorated and such a nice environment for reading. To be honest, it doesn't even feel like walking into a store, and it's more like a cozy home. As a plus, I think this place has a cat around sometimes, but I didn't see the cat during my visit.

This location is great when we are headed toward Ross Park Mall.. except for the giant hill of an entryway that... denoted by the scratches in the pavement... has removed a good number of bumpers! Sooooo... we are excited that they are relocating down the road. Still... shelves upon shelves of meticulously curated categories with sub categories and alphabetized authors.... Maybe we love this because we are both such detail oriented people! My wife and I love to remember our favorite authors and hunt down where they are. We spend far too many minutes sitting on the floors of the sections thumbing through shelves and pages. I recently shopped inside this store. I appreciated that the two employees kindly greeted me but gave me space and time to look around on my own. I did not find any books to purchase this time, but I did pick out two pop-up greeting cards. The cashier correctly processed my transaction.
