This is exactly what had happened to me when I went to 42fifteen. They had a killer brekkie option I wanted and I think a hazelnut granita. I die. I'm one of those people that when I have something already in mind and can't have it - it's nearly the end of the world and I just don't even know what to do with myself. So instead of being a normal person and just ordering something else off the menu I put together my own little brekkie dish from their sides menu. I always love some hash browns, got a poached egg and who could say no to avocado? Although it wasn't some fancy pants breakfast dish they had put together - it was really good. Their has browns are definitely worth getting - even as a side. Do it! Oh yeah, and I also had an iced coffee. Which I nearly forgot until I saw that I had a picture of it (mind you it's probably been almost 4 months since I was there) but I do actually remember thinking it was pretty decent.

I ordered the forager and swapped feta for tahini and added a poached egg. It was to die for! Just such a delicious and delectable breakfast. Wonderful flavor and filling too. Used to go to the deck cafe pretty often when I lived in Palm Beach a few years ago, so thought we'd go there. Unfortunately, being a public holiday, the deck was closed. But this place looked pretty good, and it was busy which is usually a good sign (but not so busy they didn't have a table). Food was good but a bit basic. They didn't have a "big" vegetarian breakfast on the menu, which always saddens me. And the eggs Florentine came on toast instead of English muffins, but otherwise the food was good. Serving sizes were more than adequate. The coffee was surprisingly good. Surprisingly because finding good coffee used to be quite difficult on the gold coast. The bean was one of the big brands (can't remember which unfortunately), so nothing special, but it was well-made. Service was great too. Very friendly staff, willing to stop and have a chat.
