Something needs to change if the store wishes to improve customer experience. do not eat here if you are not willing to wait 5-10 minutes for food instead go to somewhere where they at least have staff. Great fish cafe that's a step up from the typical fish and chip shop by the beach. As well as a…read morerange of tables inside, including some booths, there's also a decent size outdoor area that's under-shelter, but dog friendly. The lunch menu is quite traditional, dominated by burgers, fish and chips and other fried seafood options. I went for the $10.50 NZ Hoki and chips, which was a generous size. (Don't forget to ask for chicken salt!) The burgers looked even better, lovely and fresh, although I'm told it was sausage mince rather than a proper patties. The basic burger is a good-value $8.50, $6 extra to add on chips and a soft drink. Just be warned - the fishermans basket is ideally shared, as indicated but he $18 price tag. Lots of fried food! On Friday and Saturday evenings, they have a fancier menu, with options such as fajitas, Mexican-style barramundi and shared platters. There's also the option to BYO (possibly for free?)
