We are still on cloud nine after our son's Bar Mitzvah--and we owe so much of that to Shellie. She is an absolute gem and made the entire day run like magic behind the scenes. From the very beginning, she was on it--she researched and found us several great quotes for kid-friendly transportation, making it super easy for us to choose the best option. She made sure all the kids got to where they needed to be safely and on time. On top of that, she lined up the most delicious desserts, got us our photo booth, photographer and set me up with hair and makeup. She was always five steps ahead, so we didn't have to stress about a thing. If you want someone who's organized, creative, and just plain easy to work with--she's your person. thanks for everything shellie. read more

Shellie is an absolute force in the best way--strong, confident, kind, and genuinely fun to work with. She is a true "get it done" kind of person. Incredibly efficient and organized, she kept us on track every step of the way and made an otherwise overwhelming process feel totally manageable. Planning a wedding is so much work. We originally didn't plan on hiring a wedding planner, but there is truly no way I could have pulled off even 10% of what we did without her. It was a remote location in southern Utah, and despite the small town and far distance from vendors, she coordinated every detail and ensured we got the best deals including travel and delivery costs, and sourced the very best vendors that were willing to make the trek. Even the location was a hard to find gem that I never could have found on my own. To anyone on the fence about hiring a planner: do it. And if you've decided to hire one, please pick Shellie. She made our entire wedding weekend absolutely perfect and completely stress-free. We planned a large 80-person event that spanned the entire weekend, and the moment we arrived at the property on Thursday night, we didn't have to worry about a single thing all the way through Sunday. Everything ran seamlessly--and somehow, nothing went wrong. I would recommend her above and beyond, a hundred times over. It was a magical day that we'll remember for a lifetime! read more

My daughter and I worked with Shellie to plan my daughter's wedding at the Montage in Deer Valley. Over a ten month planning period Shellie made sure we made each decision along the way in a timely and well informed manner. She was very helpful connecting us with professional and seasoned musicians, photographers, florists and more. All along the way, Shellie was responsive, personable and insightful. Often she would have to step in to make sure a vendor was responding to our requests which was an enormous help. Where Shellie and her team really proved their worth for me was building a detailed timeline for the event and then executing it flawlessly on the day of the wedding. Everyone from vendors to members of the wedding party knew what they needed to to do and where they needed to be that day. She oversaw the perfect execution of EVERY detail on the day of the wedding. From morning until deep in the night, Shellie was there to oversee the set up, attend to last minute requests, and make sure that everything went well over the entire event. I have not worked with another wedding planner, but cannot imagine that anyone could be better at their job than Shellie. I was blessed to find Shellie Ferrer events for our son's rehearsal dinner in Park City. Not being from the area, I had trouble making headway on the planning of the event with the venue I had selected. Shellie swooped in and was the problem solver, creative force and vendor provider behind the event. She understood my vision and helped me to understand any limitations I might encounter, such as Utah liquor laws and a variety of other "local" issues. I would recommend her highly and would definitely use her again. read more

Shellie and her team were amazing and made our wedding go off without a hitch! We had a very specific, non-traditional wedding vision in mind, and Shellie helped us bring it from dream to reality with no stress the week of the event. They were able to secure the most perfect rehearsal dinner venue, and even work with Vail resorts to get us a link so non-skiers could pre-buy gondola passes to meet for a post-wedding ski lunch at Red Pine Lodge. As a bride and groom from out of state, we relied heavily on Shellie's vendor recommendations, which were all stellar, as well as her on the ground coordination. I highly recommend Shellie as your wedding planner! She was incredibly helpful from the start - recommending venues and vendors and providing inside information on what to expect if we moved forward with them as she's worked with everyone in the past. The best part is she managed all of the lead-up logistics and day of execution perfectly. Shellie was the most incredible addition to our planning process. When we were about two months away from our wedding date we reached out looking for a week-of-coordinator. I immediately connected with her energy and could tell she shared the same vision for weddings in Park City - surrounded by and incorporating nature, focusing on good energy and love and FUN! After speaking for a while Shellie offered to come on for the final two months as opposed to just the week-of. We happily accepted. She helped to wrangle all our incredible vendors and organized multiple site visits with the entire group - as the wedding took place at my parents' house there were definitely more logistics involved than anticipated. She was organized and thorough and most importantly had a wonderful, positive attitude throughout. When it rained on the wedding day just before the ceremony she was able to quickly re-set everything and we had the outdoor wedding of my dreams - and, when it started raining again, she got everyone into the tent quickly! I'd love to thank Shellie for all her hard work and highly recommend her to any future bride and groom!! read more

Every wedding has its obstacles and last minute changes, Shellie perfectly navigated us through every decision point and pivot. The day of the wedding went off without a hitch. We had our ceremony on the deck at Stein Eriksen Lodge and our reception at Promontory Golf Club. I had such a great experience with Shellie Ferrer! I hired Shellie for her full service wedding planning, and it was the BEST decision I made throughout the entire planning process. I appreciated Shellie's transparency when choosing vendors, she provided options along with suggestions on which vendor would fit both my wedding vision and budget. I quickly learned that Shellie is very well known and respected in the wedding planning industry, vendors responded very quickly to her (within hours vs the average person getting delayed or no response). I appreciated that Shellie started the conversation with each vendor, then let me take over with providing the vendor all details of my vision, then Shellie did all the follow up of making sure the services were exactly what I wanted. I felt very in control without having to do any of the hard leg work. On the wedding weekend itself, Shellie was very organized and ran the event seamlessly sticking to our event timeline. When adjustments needed to be made due to weather, she pivoted quickly and kept everyone in the communication loop. She kept all vendors on track and kept everything moving smoothly. I was able to be completely submersed in my day and enjoyed myself without a worry of anything going wrong. Shellie did everything from coordinating vendors to fixing my hair before my first dance. She's detail oriented and most importantly personable, I wouldn't have wanted anyone else responsible for my big day. read more

Shellie is amazing! She helped me plan a Bat MItzvah for my daughter and less than a year later we planned a Bar Mitzvah for my son. She was extremely easy to work with and took care of every single detail. I am a bit controlling when it comes to parties and events and wanted to be involved in every aspect of the planning for the first party. I planned to go early to help set up the day of the event but Shellie assured me that she would handle everything. I still went about an hour early and everything was perfect! For the second party I sat back, relaxed and just enjoyed the day. Again, it was perfect. Shellie is great about getting everything taken care of early so there are no worries leading up to the event which is such a great aspect of her business. There truly is no stress involved. I will absolutely use Shellie again for any future events! read more

She is a queen when it comes to planning your wedding. Down to every detail and every week we spent planning she made it easy and fun! She made being a bride fun, easy and stress free. Shellie's attention to detail will not disappoint. Shellie made this way too easy! As the groom who wasn't sure where to start in the wedding planning process, Shellie was such a great resource to have. As someone that doesn't enjoy planning a lot, a wedding can be very over whelming at the beginning. My wife and I started to plan the wedding on our own and it was clear early on we needed a professional. Shellie had calls with us on our day off to be sure projects were all getting done in advance. We had about 6 months to get a lot done with securing all professionals needed and everything that goes into a wedding. Having someone constantly checking in and making sure nothing was left for last minute made the stress level low. i highly recommend Shellie. She does a great job and was easy to work with. On the wedding day, Shellie was checking in on us throughout the day. When we all arrived at the venue Shellie had everything well organized and was keeping us on schedule entire time. She let us enjoy our time with our family and friends. At same time she kept everything on her detailed timeline running on time and seamless. read more

I hired Shellie for my daughter's wedding for "week of" planning services. The wedding was at Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley and was wonderful. I planned the wedding on my own in advance since I had experience doing projects like. I did, however, contact Shellie several times before the wedding day when I had difficulty getting a response from a vendor. Shellie was happy to step in and let them know I was her client and helped get the communication with them back on track. Shellie is easy to work with. Since I was planning the wedding from Texas, it gave me peace of mind having a local that I could count on who has a lot of experience. Shellie was thoughtful and attended the tasting even though we hired her for only "week of" planning. She also picked up some small items from a local rental company for us which saved time and delivery costs. She also recommended vendors at the early stages of the wedding planning. I would highly recommend Shellie, and I am happy she was part of my daughter's big day. read more

I know that planning your own wedding sounds like fun, but do yourself a favor and get a wedding planner. Now once you decide that, make sure you hire Shellie. Immediately when we were looking for a venue, no one was getting back to us. Once Shellie stepped in, that's when the communication really started to open up. She found us the venue, caterer, photographer and all the things in between and they were all within our budget. Shellie gives really great service and is easy to reach. We learned early on many vendors weren't returning calls and emails. She was the opposite. She thought of all the things that you don't think about (like remembering to get our marriage license. It's the most important thing yet no one thinks about it.) We had a weekly meeting on the phone since we lived out of town. We would go over all the things that we have already done and then schedule all the things that still needed to be done. She kept an updated timeline and altered it constantly to meet our needs. And whenever I thought "oh no I'm going to change something else on the timeline," she didn't mind changing it. There's so many things to think about leading up to the wedding day and Shellie had them all covered. This included even stocking our suites in hotel with snacks and beverages for the wedding day and she went to the store for us :). When we got in transportation to head to the venue, she even had our drink of choice in there. Fast forward to the week before the wedding... of course there is going to be some chaos and Shellie saved my mind from all the stressful things. When I told her I was still having a hard time deciding what vows should be said, she sent me some options that she thought sounded like my husband and I. She hit it out of the park. When I thought I was going to spend a whole afternoon figuring out what our officiant should say about our love story, she got on the phone with me and asked me all the questions and wrote a few rough drafts and got it down. She did it within a half hour. Talk about efficient! The day of the wedding was supposed to be outside. There were high winds causing a HUGE dust storm. She had already been watching the weather closely and had a Plan B already figured out. The wedding was moved inside and everything moved along smoothly. The morning of the wedding, Shellie was even waiting in the lobby and her assistant was at the venue. Vendors and wedding party couldn't get up the elevator since they weren't checked in and Shellie let them all up and was constantly checking in on myself and my husbands suites to see if we needed anything. She was the first to arrive that morning and last to leave the venue once it was cleaned up. I have always been someone that goes with the flow and know that everything always works out, but I know that it wouldn't have turned out nearly as well if we planned our day by ourselves. I am so thankful that we found Shellie. If I ever need someone to plan another event like a Birthday or baby shower, I will only call her. read more

Shellie helped me plan my entire wedding weekend this past October. This included a welcome dinner, wedding ceremony and reception, and sunday brunch for 100-120 guests. What I liked most about her was her prompt communication. She was always very responsive with an answer or to let me know that she was working on finding an answer for me. She was very easy to work with and she was very knowledgeable about things that would make my wedding weekend run smoothly. She contacted and stayed in touch with all of my vendors throughout the 10 months of planning to ensure everyone was in sync. Whenever there was an issue with a vendor, she handled it right away and kept us informed the entire time. I trusted her judgement and in return my wedding planning ran smoothly and perfectly. Shellie was also on site for each event and was working with us the entire day- decorating, meeting vendors, handling payments, handling concerns of guests, and then some! She worked very hard to make sure our wedding weekend was perfect, and it really was. I am so thankful for her. I would hire Shellie for any future events without a second thought. read more

Shellie Ferrer is an excellent wedding planner-- I recommend her highly. I first met Shellie on a planning trip to Utah in 2017. My son and soon-to-be daughter-in-law hired Shellie to smooth out the 'bumps' they anticipated during a wedding journey including two sets of divorced and remarried parents. How right they were in hiring Shellie to address this VERY blended family. Shellie is hard working and listens well. She has excellent taste and aesthetic, works toward the client's best interest, and is serious about her work but doesn't take herself too seriously. I recommend her for destination events particularly for a Deer Valley Weddings. She makes complicated simple-- and what wedding isn't complicated! Additionally, as father of the groom I worked with Shellie to arrange and execute the rehearsal dinner in historic Ogden, Utah. I had strong ideas about what I wanted and Shellie took my ideas and elevated them to a higher level. Her advice and counsel made it a more memorable evening for all. I appreciate her work. read more

Are you in the market for someone to completely ruin your wedding planning experience? Looking for that helpful someone to obliterate your budget for their own personal gain? Wanting someone that will lie and cheat their way to personal gain over ethical business practices? Then Shellie Ferrer and Shellie Ferrer Events is the Wedding Planner for you! Do you love wasting money? Because if you do just start writing checks to Shellie, she will provide you with "invoices" that are completely wrong. We are talking wrong place, wrong time, wrong amount of people, and wrong date. Wrong DATE! For a wedding, she was paid to plan our wedding and sent us invoices for services to take place on the wrong day! I am pretty sure that is the most important thing about a wedding and its planning is getting the day right. We tried to shrug some of the mistakes of as acceptable "accidents". Until we realized that Shellie was lying to us, and taking advantage of our trust in her. She told us that she received multiple "bids" for decorations, then said she could do them for cheaper. So of course like any trusting, budget minded couple, we paid her to do said decorations. When we started to realize that she was being dishonest with us, we questioned her. I asked to see the estimate she gathered prior to us paying her (shame on us for not getting them before and trusting her). The next day she sent over an invoice from a local rental company. I inquired with that rental company that looked up the invoice by the number, and told us it was created 1 hour after we asked her to furnish it! At that point we realized that she was screwing us. We then confronted her on the phone about lying to us, and told her that we knew she was taking advantage of us for her own personal gain. We asked her to explain herself when she promptly quit. Keeping all of our money. We had a two week back and forth with her lawyer about returning our money. Shellie wanted us to sign a confidentiality agreement. I will watch the money float down the river just so we can warn the rest of the world to stay far far away from her! read more

I began working with Shellie in December to plan our 2020 summer wedding in Park City. Even with the unforeseen obstacles of trying to plan a wedding during a global pandemic, Shellie remained calm, dedicated, and went above and beyond to ensure that we still had the perfect day. Communicating with her was easy; she followed up on everything promptly either by email, text or a phone call. She allowed us to ship all of our wedding items to her directly, which was super helpful as my now husband and I aren't local to the Park City area. She even had to make extra trips to the Post Office to track down packages that didn't get delivered correctly! Additionally, she recommended and initiated communication with a budget friendly option for our linens, and took the responsibility of picking them up and returning them after the wedding so we didn't have to incur the insane delivery charges that most rental companies were charging. Overall, our day ended up being beautiful and completely stress free, as everything was planned and organized so that there weren't any last minute things popping up. Thank you Shellie for all of your help in making our special day so memorable! read more

Shellie was an amazing wedding planner and so much more, I can certainly say that we wouldn't have been able to pull off the wedding without her dedication and help. We are from North Carolina but my family is from Salt Lake and we wanted to have our wedding where I grew up. This complicated the planning process significantly because neither one of us were able to actually be at the venue (or even travel to salt lake) more than once from rental of the venue to time of the wedding. This was why we decided to hire a wedding planner and I can't describe how fortunate I was to be able to work with Shellie. She was in constant communication with us over the seven (short planning time!) months that we had with her between venue rental and date of wedding. Once a week she'd give us a set of decisions and tasks to complete to help her with the planning. If we weren't able to make the week deadline she was never pushy and always supportive, I think the decisions were more to make us feel more involved in the process (I have no doubt that she'd be able to plan the entire thing with no input from us and it would have still been amazing). Out catering company even backed out two months before the wedding and Shellie handled everything! She contacted her favorite caterer and was able to get them to develop the same menu we had tasted and loved, all for a discount on the original caterers price! She also handled all the flowers (we gave her a pintrist of ideas we loved, she did the rest) and day of coordination throughout the entire wedding. She was kind and professional and coordinated payment with all contracted vendors. We did a lot of research before hiring Shellie and originally I was very opposed to it (my wife was the one who pushed me into it!) but looking back I can't imagine planning our wedding without her! She's worth every penny, seriously couldn't have planned it without her. We will always be grateful that we met her, hope you all feel the same way! Also, seriously HUUUUGGGEEE shoutout the to DJ she recommended/booked, like seriously don't choose your own DJ go with the guy that she uses at all her events, he's the best wedding DJ I've ever experienced and pretty much everyone agreed (little things like that are the ones that makes Shellie unique). Got him for a great discount as well! He's amazing!! read more

Worst experience working with any service company ever. Horrible! She stole $ from us-refused to give receipts from vendors, was blatantly dismissive and rude to guests and wedding party members.
