We stopped here exploring the Gulf Coast because it just looked like a cool place - it is! The owner is super nice and so is Lola, the resident rescue dog. We cruised the stacks of thousands of beautiful shells and learned a lot about the various varieties. We picked a few beauties and paid a fraction of what the more trendy beach shops are asking for them. The owner is a prick!! If he starts talking to you and rambles on and acts friendly I highly suggest you to tell him to stop talking. He doesn't talk to you to be friendly, he talks to you a lot so you won't pay attention to what prices he punches in at the end!!! He swindled us of our money! He is a crook and highly manipulative! He says he is married but acts feminine. We were nice to him and once we got back from Port Aransas we realized he punched a extra $10 in the register without us knowing! So instead of us paying $40 we paid $50 and since he kept talking and we bought into his friendly attitude we were tricked and robbed of some cash! He doesn't answer his phone either! And if you are dressed nice he will tell you higher prices just because you look rich!! I highly suggest buying from any souvenir shop and I strongly suggest people to not buy from this crook from Shell World in Port Aransas Pass, Tx!!! Do not purchase anything from here!!!! read more
