Price is responding to the market. Cleanliness is what sets apart from others. There was a major road way construction on West Bellfort. People tend to cut through the gas station and created another havoc. There are 3 entrances from roadways to this establishment. Take your pick but don't drive fast. The store clerk was really helpful at directions. I asked about a nearest liquor store. He suggested Avalon Discount Liquor about 1 mile away, not Bellfort Liquor across the street. I went to both to compare. Ah ha! The one across the street was barely open.

Something about it is off putting and I can't explain it. It's clean, those inside are nice, but I tend to avoid it. This gas station does tend to get very busy, due to its location, so certain times such as before and after work are probably the worst times to get gas here. However, if you're not in a rush you won't mind. This review has to be short, because the only reason you'll come here is for the convenience of cheap gas and that to me is reason enough to keep coming back and letting others know why it's worth the trip.

So it's located on Southwest Freeway, and this complex comes complete with a Subway and a convenience store and a chicken shop that seems to be closed down now, but was open not that long ago because I used to go there, and of course the gas pumps were pretty much a lifesaver during the awful winter storm, because they were open when a lot of other places weren't. So well done to them for that and for making sandwiches in the storm, although they did stop doing so at about 12, and of course then when they ran out of water. But I'm very grateful to them and that's why I give them a good rating.

As I monitored and compared with other gas stations within 2 mile radius, I found some interesting facts. When the gas prices are above $2.00, this is the cheapest gas station to come to. But recent gas prices of below $1.79; there is not much difference from another Shell station a mile away at Beechnut (http://www.yelp.com/biz/shell-houston-50). All businesses have operating overhead, you know. Instead of driving all over town to find cheaper gas, come here only if you are in this part of town. Just look at these 12 pumps, but no diesel pump. The bathroom is located at the car wash building. My typical experience is worn out keypad on the pump and I need to change pump to press "enter." Also, the pumps are not fast. It could take longer to finish the pump. The tire pressure machine worked 100% of time when I needed it. At night, pay attention to your surroundings. There are not as many panhandlers at this station. I rarely enter the food mart. I can't validate other reviewer's claim. Just remember, this is not a most desirable neighborhood. During daylight, there are a lot of traffic on feeder road. So, you are safer.
