I was interrogated at the reception as to why I needed this health check service for my vehicle. He wanted me to dictate what to check in the vehicle. when I told him to just do the 15 checks advertised on the website, he was condescending and said I just needed a free service. This auto centre has the least care for customer satisfaction, although the service I request was free as quoted on the website but I've been using Halfords services for quite sometime (different garages) and never I experienced such humiliation.

Perfect for a short stop, especially when you need a short break from heavy traffic. Parking is sufficiently available and well accessible. Particularly noteworthy are the free toilets which are maintained well and kept reasonably clean. Beyond that many ways to eat something are offered without getting much delay. On site are Hamden's Fish and Chips, Starbucks, an Indian Restaurant, Burger King, Nandoo's and some others. There's also a grocery store and a souvenir shop that is also offering some mobile phone accessories. Nearby is a gas station. For me it's almost a mandatory stop off when I drive from Heathrow to the south.

It has a big range of different restaurants and pretty much all the facilities you could want. And they are all in good condition and clean. On the other hand, everyone stopped here seems to be the sort of person you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alleyway on a rainy night.

They upgraded the pumps a while back, so now you can scan your Tesco Clubcard at the pump and save time. One comment I do have, is that this place always seem to be REALLY busy. I guess it's because it serves the whole Chineham/Lychpit/Old Basing area. So if you've left it to the last minute to get fuel, and you're in a hurry, you're probably going to be frustrated when you see the queues.

Prices were very competitive concidering I needed big tyres. My only criticism was there was no vending as it was an extremely cold outside. This is more of a drive in and come back later garage.
