Inside the convenient store is really nice, and they even have a Wendy's attached to it! They've also got showers in the back, which I'm pretty sure are free. They did have self checkouts, however they were down when I was there. Out of the smaller gas stations nearby, this one had the cheapest price the time we were there. Definitely come here if you need to make a pit stop!

Restroom got a "yellow" today needing some attention with paper on the floor near the sinks and in the first two stalls I checked. The convenience store was tidy and well stocked. I had no problem selecting a coffee cup and filling it with my preferred dairy, sweetener and coffee. Same setup as other Love's with both urns and grind-to-order coffee that worked well. Let me start by saying this place is NOT a regular gas station or store. When you walk in, you step…read moreback in time and that's what I love most about it. It has charm and character you won't find in a Shell or Speedway. There is usually a group of regulars hanging out at the front chatting. The store is surprisingly large but dark and pretty dusty. The variety of items on the shelves is actually pretty funny and some of them look like they have been there for 40+ years. The couple that runs the place keeps a notebook with all transactions hand written in it. You can get homemade deli sandwiches on the super soft white bread that sticks to the roof of your mouth when you take a bite. Nothing fancy but it's nice to get lunch for 2 for less than $10 anywhere these days. They serve breakfast as well but I haven't made it in to try that yet. They also sell fuel but you can't pay at the pump. I would find that annoying some places but it just makes sense here. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of places left like Shelton's.
