There was one gentleman in line ahead of me at the register buying a drink. I was next in line to…read morerequest $40.00 prepay in gas. The cashier was busy preparing food to put in the oven. Unsure if he was actually the cashier, I made eye contact & asked if I could get $40.00 of gas. He responded saying one minute. However after finishing the oven food prep, he began preparing hot dogs. I again requested if I could get $40.00 in gas receiving the same one minute reply. Admittedly I was surprised that he couldn't quickly take care of two customers & then go back to prepping food. That would be the appropriate approach to providing good customer service. The clincher was that after finally prepaying for gas & signaling to my brother that he can begin pumping gas, I then proceeded to use the restroom. The cashier saw me waiting for someone to come out & he said it was $5.00 to use the restroom. I thought he was joking & there were no cost signs displayed. After using the restroom, he kept saying I owe $5.00 separate from the $40.00 gas & he wasn't joking. There should be corresponding signs if that is the case. I spoke to other customers who also experienced the same thing. This cashier would benefit to learn good customer service skills which are never to late to learn.
