I went back to the store looking for an exchange, not even a refund, and that's where things got super weird and frustrating. I was told by the Manager Miah that without a receipt, nothing could be done. But, in the same conversation, she told me the item would also need to be in "resellable condition." .... HMMMMM.... wait, that doesn't make much sense. Let me get this straight, if the product is defective and broke on first use, how would it ever be resellable? BUuuuuuut if I did have a receipt, suddenly the broken leash is acceptable for exchange? The logic just didn't add up. Miah then insisted on stressing "store policy" and that she could lose her job for making an exception. But isn't store policy to satisfy your customers and provide them with an experience that makes them want to return. That's hard to believe that taking care of a customer over a clearly defective $20 item would be a fireable offense. Come on guys, where is the use of basic common sense. The most disappointing is that I've been a loyal Buc-ee's customer. Every year before visiting family overseas, we spend $100's of dollars on Buc-ee's merchandise, snacks, and gifts to take with us. It's been a tradition, one that ended today. Completely shocked that a company valued at over $2 Billion would choose to stand firm over a $20 defective leash. How about you guys do a better job training management to handle situations like this with a little flexibility and customer-first thinking vs. scaring them into losing their jobs, which loses customers! Sometimes I'll just wait for a bit and ride around until I get an open gas pump like most gas stations. But other than that. I love the convince, The easy get in and get out service. Because that's what we really need in life convenience, easiness, comfortability and affordable prices. And when that happens Barbie flips off her shoes because that's what she does when she gets super excited as you can see from the pictures. Of course I don't like giving my money to Walmart - but it's nice to save $0.10 on gas and they usually are about $0.10 cheaper than about the average. This location also has a brush type car wash, so if you want touch less keep going. Been here many times and staff here has always been friendly. So why not 5 you ask, well the car wash codes can at times not work, making you have to go inside to correct. The window wash stations are often out of water or missing the window wipers.
