I ordered a chicken cheesesteak hogie and went to the cashier station to check-out. The cashier told me the coupon had expired. "Since when does the expiration date mean the start of the day rather than the end of the day?" I asked the cashier. She saw my growing frustration but did nothing. I told her that I didn't want the sandwich in that case. She then said she would honor the coupon even though it was technically expired. This unpleasant interaction could have been avoided if the cashier had said: "Please note that Wawa coupons expire at the start of the date listed, but I will honor it in this case." That would have been good customer service! Meanwhile, the hogie was delicious. I like the process of completely customizing the sandwich when ordering on the kiosk. The chicken was tasty, the bread was fresh and the portion size was just right. The people preparing the food were pleasant and efficient. Despite the unfortunate interaction with the cashier, I plan to continue visiting Wawa for both their gas and their hogies.

The station charges $3.60/gal for credit purchases and $2.60/gal for cash. A $1.00/gal surcharge is in and of itself outrageous, but that aside, there is a sign (I have a photo of it) that says that Regular gas + carwash pricing is $2.60/gal. I purchased a car wash, paid with a credit card, and was charged $3.60/gal. When I complained to the cashier, he told me that it was the difference between cash and charge. I pointed to the sign, showed that I had purchased a car wash, and he shrugged his shoulders. I asked to see the manager, and his response was to come back tomorrow. I find this business practice to be intentionally deceiving and would hope that this station would at least have the decency to have the signage taken down so others are not deceived in the same manner.

Honestly I have been getting gas there for years and don't go inside much, but after today I will be going elsewhere due to the principle. It's .92 cents but I hate false advertising and honestly if it wasn't for the sign on my pump I wouldn't have gone inside. Not one to cater to false pretenses. Also they don't have the fab payment method either so probably going to stick with Wawa. They at least honor their prices. Lost me as a customer.
