They almost always cook the fish fresh so it is hot with crispy batter. You have to wait around five minutes but I'd rather wait and have good quality than quickly have bad quality! There was no skin at Masons...the batter was very light and crispy and the fish was cooked just right. A+ Masons! The fries may have tasted better if I had eaten there....after carrying home they were not hot and that makes a huge difference with fries for me. They weren't bad...just not special in any way. He said the fries were a small order but it was a very big order for me....could have shared for sure. The fish was a nice size as well. I would go back....and probably will before I leave.
