We HIGHLY recommend V.P. Painting, owned by Scott Sherman. The last paragraph is the text from my…read moreeMail to Scott Sherman after they finished painting the exterior of our home, to include our porch and deck in 2013. This is the 3rd time Scott Sherman's Company has painted inside/outside this house. Below are the 3... 1st time. He was hired by the previous owners and painted our home in 2008 and did a great job. 2nd time. We hired Scott to partially paint our interior, specifically the high walls in the main entrance/landing of our home. What really impressed me was Scott's crew doesn't use tape/masking off trim. Rather they use a brush and incredibly steady hands. Their trim painting came out as good if not better than mine and I use Green Tape. Also, I used a Behr paint and Scott uses Sherman William's products. He took my paint and matched the colors to a "T". Very nicely done and blended together perfectly. 3rd time. We decided to repaint the entire exterior this year as we have different color likes verse the previous owners, so we made the house "our home". Scott was instrumental here too. He guided our color combinations to make sure our home matched. During the initial home inspection, they found numerous pieces of rotted wood where the Hardy Board butts together at the corners, plus trim around the fireplace. Scott's crew replaced all the damaged wood, cleaned out the Carpenter Bee holes, sealed them, and then painted after properly prepping, and of course, started off by power-washing our entire house too. We have recommended V.P. Painting to our home association as well and feel, stressed, the quality of their work. You do get what you pay for and if you want your home properly prepped and painted, you need not look any farther. Call Scoot! Good morning Scott, Your guys wrapped up the job last night and the house looks excellent. Your Lead is a solid guy and made sure things were done correctly. He kept the other guys focused and on target. I'm impressed with the young man. We did a walk-around early last evening and I couldn't see any issues/no complaints. Susan and I are very pleased with the outcome, color choices, etc. If by chance we find anything "off" within the the next month we'll give a call/e-mail.

Jeremy Horton, the proprietor, was sent to my house by another contractor to undertake widening of…read moremy driveway. Our home has a small built-on garage with a car port adjacent. The car port had a slanted surface, and its offset from the driveway made it tricky to enter. I wished to be able to drive my Forester straight in and straight out. Jeremy and I considered several alternatives and came up with a plan. He dug out the slanted area to level the surface and cut back a small hillside that rose toward my neighbor. To hold the soil in place, he created a pressure-treated wood bulkhead against the hillside to maintain this modification in place. He then planted decorative grasses on the dirt slope to hold the soil together. On the new surface he packed gravel stones in place of concrete, to save on cost. Throughout he was most cheerful and accommodating, explaining everything he did to insure my understanding. I was pleased enough that I later asked him to build a pergola that my wife and I wished to have behind our house, attached to the rear of the garage, to provide a shady place to sit outdoors. Jeremy came up with a plan at a reasonable price, deposited the materials needed within a very few days, and then showed up with a most competent crew to construct this shelter. It was perfect, exactly what we wanted. It is sturdy, attached to the rear of the garage and resting on solid timbers. It has a metal roof and an effective draining system.
