The store offers personalized attention and you can get custom fitted to find a bra that works the best for you, and you only. The selection is very nice and this is true not only for lingerie, but also for bathing suits! Zenna help us on our last visit and she was just fantastic! She was compassionate, caring and funny while helping my 92 year old mother finding the bras and protheses that were the best match to her needs. I had an appointment for supplies. Had my authorization for an office in Monterey park. Got there couldn't find the place, called the number they told me that office has been closed. I asked where they were located, it was in Covina. I asked if I can still go in because my appointment was at 12:30. She said yes. Found the place, nice clean place decor with antiques. I called over the phone to see if they had sizes in my size or something close. When I told them my size the rude woman over the phone laughed at me and said that size don't exist. I asked if she had something comparable. And she then said that in her 30 years in the business they don't make that size. I'm small around and very large in the cup. She charges $35 for a fitting. That fee is waived if you buy a bra, I was simply calling to see if they had bras in my size to purchase. I have never felt so diminished as a woman or a human being by another woman. It's already a struggle to find bras. I don't do business with rude women especially if they make others feel stupid. No way I would go for a fitting and get half naked in front of a woman like that. My mom and I came across this boutique unexpectedly and we are so glad we did. It is so darn difficult to find quality bras that provide real support (ladies...#amiright!) and this shop has solved that problem for us! They are quite pricey but, in my opinion, totally worth it! They carry a wide range of both American and European brands (European half sizes FTW!) in a very wide range of sizes. While not every style can be found in every size, I promise they carry at least a couple styles in every size. The two ladies who helped us were great. They are very much no-nonsense and they know their stuff! They sized us up in a second, before actually taking our measurements! Speaking of measurements, they offer free fittings with purchase. Without purchase, the fitting costs $35 and you get to keep it as a credit toward a future purchase. There is a time limit of 60 days to use the credit, I believe. They also offer special discounts during your birthday month...cha-ching! Overall, I had a great experience and I'm so happy we came across Sheer Pleasure! Two thumbs up! read more

If I could give this place a minus i would. I wish i had read the reviews prior to walking in. The woman behind the counter was so inept had no idea what was what and much less where to find anything!! She had me try on a prosthetic and during that time another woman who seemed much more knowledgeable came into the dressing room and advised me of what she would recommend. When I stepped out i handed over the prosthetics which by mistake included my own and so i asked for it back and she wouldn't hand it over. She did all this in front of the woman whom I believe to be the owner who told her that it was mine not theirs. So she hesitated to hand it back to me but finally did. read more

I'm so glad that I found this place. I had breast cancer a while ago and needed a new prosthesis. Zenna was very knowledgeable, helpful and compassionate. I knew I was in good hands. I warned Zenna about my health insurance company that is hard to deal with. She assured me that it would be her job to deal with them, and she did! She talked to several people in the insurance company patiently and I didn't have to do anything. What a pro she is! After 15 years and 40 pounds heavier - I was in dire need of a new breast prosthesis/form. After several attempts after being referred to Hanger's in Pasadena each and every visit I left empty handed, frustrated and disappointed. Hence, why 15 years later I'm still wearing the wrong bra and prosthesis. Until I was given a referral to Sheer Pleasure in Covina. Night and day - that is the difference here. I like this store very much. The owner, Zenna Moore, fit me and of course I was wearing the wrong size. I spent 1.5 hours with her with telling her my story of how I got to her and then trying on various selections she brought me into the private fitting room. All my questions and requests were all taken seriously and with COMPASSION. The store selection is not your box store variety but most likely an inventory of tried and true well made and reasonably priced bras and undergarments. I would recommend this small business woman owned store to any woman that has special needs, whether mastectomy breast forms and bras and just looking to find the correct size and some pretty undergarments. I will be back next year to get replacement bras. By the way, I am 68 years old woman who speaks her mind (good or bad). I was truly happy and feeling more confident leaving with my new bra (another on order) and my new breast form in my possession. I am only giving two stars for the initial service of Zenna who helped my mom. My mom is a first-time post-mastectomy patient, so wearing a prosthesis and a post-mastectomy bra is unfamiliar to her. The first time we came into the store, Zenna was nice and seemed very knowledgeable about fittings for post-mastectomy women. She even gave us some information about how we could go through insurance for our purchases if any made at the store. We came about 2-3 times before my mom found a bra that she liked, and felt comfortable in. All the while, a prosthesis was fitted for her. As sure as my mom was about this pink bra, she had Zenna order it to have it shipped. All we were told was that the bra would come in 3 weeks. Now that an order was confirmed for the pink bra, my mom went ahead and bought the prosthesis under the pretense that the pink bra would be ordered for her to wear with. This is sometime in October. As we wait, my mom continues to wear the camisole bra, and substitute bead prosthesis originally bought here after being suggested to wait and give more healing time before wearing a bra. Here is where the problem begins. After 3 weeks, on the Monday of the 3rd week, I call and Zenna answers the phone and tells me that she has gotten a confirmation about the pink bra that should be here by this week. Friday I call to check and this is when someone else tells me that they got an email from the manufacturer of the pink bra, that the bra is no longer in stock. There was no apology during this conversation as well. I want to note that they also said I could wait to see if it would come back in stock, not that the pink bra was no longer produced. So, having already waited 3 weeks for nothing, my mom suggested waiting some more on the hopes that the bra would be back in stock. I thought this situation was odd and handled very unprofessionally. Finally, we give up waiting so I come to return the prosthesis 12/30. The prosthesis was unused, and cost $365 out of my mom's own pocket. Originally was $400 but Zenna gave a discount at the time. Zenna, wasn't working this day but, I didn't think there would be a problem with the return after I explain the reason for the return, however, after one of the workers got Zenna on the phone, she was told to deny the return on the basis that it exceeded the return policy time frame and was to be considered an entirely separate situation from the unsuccessful order of the pink bra. That didn't make sense, since waiting for the pink bra itself, already exceeded the 14-day policy and was the only reason my mom bought the prosthesis.They told me Zenna would be back Tuesday, today, so if I wanted to explain personally to her, I could try. I call today to check if Zenna is there, and she answers the phone and before I could even explain to her personally, she was already denying the return. Now over the phone, I am explaining the situation so that she can understand why my mom doesn't want the prosthesis since they weren't able to get her the bra that she wanted to go with it. I can't even explain my shock and disbelief of the things Zenna told me to support her return denial. She tried to explain to me that it wasn't her fault the bra order wasn't guaranteed because she wasn't the manufacturer of the bra. She even tried to tell me "any intelligent person should know nothing in life is guaranteed." She also told me that my mom could buy any other bra because there were others that she was so sure fitted my mom, even though I told her already that she didn't like them for comfort reasons. To that, she told me liking something is different from fitting something, so with her years of experience she knows the other bras fit my mom and basically not liking the bra is no excuse for not being able to buy those bras. Literally, at this point I was so upset, I mean how could she even try to ridicule me with the no guarantee in life thing when she herself didn't state that at the time we placed the order. As a woman herself, I'm shocked she would even suggest buying bras even when they weren't liked, just because she believed they fit. That's even besides the fact that a post-mastectomy patient has an even harder time finding a comfortable fitting bra because of the sensitivity of the area. No matter what I said about our personal experience, all Zenna did was try to generalize our situation on the basis of her years of experience, even making comments about how other women purchase a prosthesis but not a bra from them. I am specifically telling her, that we bought the prosthesis because she told us we could have the pink bra ordered, but not once did she sound understanding. She made it seem entirely our fault and not hers that we waited for a bra that she now claims had no guarentee. I wouldn't recommend this place for breast cancer patients. The customer service has been stressful and unprofessional, things breast cancer patients shouldn't have to deal with. read more

The woman who helped me sold me a prosthetic that was not the right size but said That I shouldn't worry and that my insurance would pay for another one. I found this extremely unprofessional. I returned the prosthetic and dealt with the owners bad attitude. I will never go back and I do not recommend this store to anyone. read more

The worst customer service EVER!!!!! I went in for a fitting with Zeena, she seemed very nice and we tried on several bras. Our final conclusion was that she would order one of the bras I liked in the color I wanted and size I needed, and several others that she did not have in my size but thought I would like, so she said she would order those as well fro me to try on next time. A month went by and I did not hear from her sooo I called and an elderly lady answer and said that Zeena was out of town and would return Monday. I explained everything to this lady and she said well let me look at your card (they fill out a 3x5 card on their customers I actually watch Zeena write notes onto a card that she then wrote my name on). Lady could not find my card and also indicated that I was not in the computer system either. A few days later Zeena called me and I once again explained everything to her about my fitting and what she was going to order for me, after a brief pause she says she vaguely remembers a scenario resembling what just told her. She said she would look for my card and call me back. That was three weeks ago STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM HER read more

My healthcare provider gave me a list of stores, and I picked this one out of mere convenience. It was the best decision. They are very professional, as to where, you don't even feel uncomfortable being topless for an hour. The most shocking part of it all, was when I learned that I have been wearing the wrong size bra. They take the time to measure and properly fit you, and they offer you different styles to try on. Plus, they chose the perfect prosthetic for me. Now I feel comfortable, not only with the proper size, but with the prosthetic as well. Noboby can tell that I've had a mastectomy. I am so grateful for my friend for taking me here. I bought along my daughter whom is a 40G at age 14. I was able to get sized and YES, I have been wearing the wrong size. I had been wearing a 40F and the beautiful Zeena informed me that I am actually a 36O. Yes, it is pricey BUT it is soooo WORTH IT. I wish I could have spent more. Having the correct bra size is so important. I looked SO GOOD after trying on my NEW 36O. My breast did not "look" so big and did not look like they were hanging. They were up and Purky!!! I hadn't seen them like this sense middle school. My shirt fit me perfectly. My bra straps were not falling off. I was not adjusting. I am an almost 40 year old happy customer with purky BOOBS!!! A close relative went to this business for a bra fitting and other necessary products following cancer surgery. She was extremely unhappy with the service. She reported that the salesperson did not seem properly trained to do an accurate bra fitting, She was also unprofessional and Insensative to my relative's needs and trauma following surgery. When my relative was neither satisfied nor comfortable with the products available and asked about alternatives, the salesperson reacted impatiently and crossly. I am appalled at Sheer Pleasure's insensitivity to customer's needs and dismayed that this business is a contracted provider for any health plan. read more
