My son and I took the Defensive Pistol 1 course this past Saturday, and let me tell you it was amazing! Jim in an awesome instructor, and I do not say this lightly. As a former Army Instructor and martial arts instructor, I know some qualities about this position. Jim has them all. He keeps his classes to a very manageable size so he can give each participant the individual attention to improve their skills. Information is presented in a way that each student can understand, through a verbal, and visual presentation of the material. His understanding of the profession and past experiences has given him a wealth of knowledge to share. Just the verbal knowledge he presents can improve any shooter, but the hands on experience is great. I watched throughout the day as my son vastly improved his shooting, and he was already a decent shooter. I would recommend that any shooter, new or advanced, participate in one of his courses.
