I have been meaning to review "Royton Barbers" for a while now, meaning this experience is probably…read morefrom early November, but still I feel it is still worthy of a review being written.
Royton Barbers is a barber shop in (you've guessed it!) Royton, in the Post Office building right next to the post office, and near enough opposite Royton Market and the Co-Operative, parking for here seems quite easy with parking available at the Co-operative and a nearby Oldham Council car park, which normally does serve Royton Market.
When entering the barbers, it is quite funny as it is more like entering a house, and then you enter one room. In my opinion it is too small and they is too much going on, women's haircuts, men's haircuts, kids, and they is no separate areas, which means it can be quite noisy and not a nice place to have a more relaxing haircut.
They seem to maximize space too much with so many chairs too close to each other, it seems one person could be going in for a dry cut, and just meters away, a woman could be having her hair dyed.
My barber didn't seem really friendly, and seemed pretty average. She seemed to be very heavy handed and did catch me on numerous occasions on my ear and the back of my head with the razors, which I felt was pretty careless and shown that she wasn't focused on doing the job very well.
The end result of my haircut, was nothing spectacular either and was definitely not among the best haircuts I've had, being quite disappointing to say the least.
Considering the factors of the building, the set-out and incidents with the barber, I feel this barbers really needs to work on many things, stated in my review, and for now I can only give one star, which is quite disappointing as this barbers does stand out as a nice, cool barbers, but that it is not.
