I called a week before Christmas for a new hair cut that was a bit outside of what my hair was cut…read moreas prior, and I needed a staff member that felt confident within working with my dime-to-quarter sized ringlets of curly hair, that goes a little past my shoulders. I wanted something that emphasized my curls without being too frizzy, and without emphasizing my thinning hair pattern too much either. I kind of described a "sneaky, curly mullet or like wolf cut with bangs" and this is how it turned out. My stylist was fun, easy to get along with, the place was sheik and clean, and parking was very easy. I will be coming back! Likely to ask for my bangs to get trimmed, as they are just a smidge long for my liking, but for the rest I am in love with! Thanks Gents! See you guys again next time!!

The space is nice with sinks at each station. I'm not sure if that is common for men's hair salons…read morebut I've never seen this at a women's salon. I accompanied my husband for a haircut because our 2 year old has never had a haircut and wanted to watch daddy get his before she gets her first cut. There were only a few occupied chairs while we were there and we tried to stay out of the way. The woman who cut my husband hair was not pleasant and seemed annoyed that any of us were there including my husband, the customer. Which, ok fine, understandable you don't want a crowd watching you work, but then say that. Tell us to wait in the lobby whatever. I asked if they did kids hair, they do. Which made it very strange that they don't like Kids. Aside from all of that - I could have done the same cut at home. My husband had in fact been cutting his hair at home. He was opening to getting a big change and stated that to her and asked her opinion on what would work. She said it's up to him, no direction, no suggestion. When she was done she acted like she was pissed to have had a customer. Again I get it you had spectators not a normal request, but are you getting paid? Is there no customer service? My haircut at a women's salon comes with a head massage, wash, blow dry, tea, water, consultation on the cut, friendly service and takes 5 times as long and costs the same... Husband agreed it was awkward and not a good experience with zero consult on the cut. Won't be back for men's or kid's cut. Update because I just read what is included in their Men's Haircut service. She did not do any of it, other than cut. She did not even style it when she was done, and he has long hair.

I started coming here after I realized that I didn't want to patronize the businesses that don't support real people, find a barber that cares about their community, and wanted to support a small business run by good people. They certainly check all the boxes, and are still affordable. Thanks for the great business.

I also like to get cuts whenever I travel and being a simple man, ya really can't goof it up (exception! Mexico City). So anyway, Teaj is who I work with and she always gives me a great cut. I also really like their online scheduling system. It makes it so easy. Plus it is a pooch friendly place (always ask first), as you can see, my boy Rudy was a little stressed as he had no idea what the hell was happening to me. But when all was said and done, he approved and so did I.

It quickly became my go to place from 2013-2016. Then I relocated to Minneapolis and began going to the Uptown location where I had some of my best haircuts. I grew my hair out during Covid and in March I had my first cut with Nate. He quickly gave me some advice for having long hair and did a great job; I really appreciated is dedication to cutting hair. Today I returned for a second time and I called and spoke with Elina and asked if she could fit me in today if someone cancelled as I would be at a nearby coffee shop. Sure enough Elina remembered me, called, and I was able to get my haircut today. While I was bummed Nate was not working today I trusted there would be someone good working--- yes I took a risk on a new stylist cuz I needed a cut before the weekend; I don't always make that choice. I must say I was impressed---best part of my visit today was Mary by far.
