I wanted a simple trim and some highlight. After she explained what she could do she asked what my budget was. I asked her what she was going to charge. When she told me it would be 280.00 I about cried. Absolutely unbelievable. I have since talked with others who have been there and without exception was told they are the most expensive place in town. This has taken me a long time to write, personally if you are wanting to dye your hait and it involves bleach I HIGHLY recommend you do NOT VISIT this salon. I had grown out my hair for 5 years, my hair was grown past my bottom down touching my thighs. I made an appointment here because my long time hair stylist moved to another state. I live in Rifle and wanted to go somewhere local. I had heard of this salon through word of mouth and decided to try. I went in with 40+ inches of natural hair not extensions and wanted my underneath died blue, I had black hair at the time. I was constantly convinced that I wasn't going to be able to dye my hair blue that my hair had to be white to be able to add a dark blue. I went in being okay with their opinion and going purple instead of blue, but I did want to pay for blue, that is what I was wanting. I go in for my appointment and off the bat the other stylists are either judgmental as hell or just in a bad mood. I was hoping to donate what I wanted to chop off, which was I wanted to cut my hair to my collar bone from my thighs. The stylist did not save my hair to donate. The whole 20+ inches that i wanted to donate was tangled up in other peoples hair and then swept and tangled up with other peoples hair that was on the floor and then put into what it looked like was a doggy bag. My hair goes through the first round of bleach. It looks good so they decide to bleach again. This time I started to feel the back of my neck get hot. Like burning hot. I didn't know what that meant. Meanwhile this stylist is painting her nails and hanging out for this whole time while my hair is processing. She comes over and says it's time to wash out. She washes it out and sits me back in the chair and then proceeds to tell me my hair is falling out. I have died my hair plenty of colors in my lifetime and not ONCE did my hair ever fall off. This girl processed my hair clearly way to much to the point where my hair was butter and I went to touch my hair and a large chunk from the from of my hair peel right off. I just lost it and cried. I went in wanting a fun change to my long hair and I was instantly disrespected, my hair is not treated with the respect that I was hoping for being quoted that my hair was going to cost me $500+ to only dye the undebreath of my hair blue. Nothing else. A cut and an underneath dye. $500+ And this is the treatment I was receiving right off the bat. I was then comforted and told that I was going to be taken care of and the staff suddenly had a change of mood and became nice to me. Offered me wine and then Told me worst case scenario we have to do an undercut because my under earth of my hair and fallen off to now an inch long compared to the rest of my hair that was cut to my collarbone. I cried more. I came in nervous to cut off my hair and my anxiety continued to grow and I couldn't help but just grieve my hair and cry. I cried for MONTHS after this situation Because my hair kept falling out and I had to repair my hair back to healthy. At the end of this appointment they ended up giving my a half head of extensions so my hair wasn't so thin. I did not want extensions that was their solution To their mistake. They ended up not charging me for this and I tried my best to be positive and forgiving. But going home and having that feeling stay with you and having to regrow your hair out and constantly feeling the short stubby un even hair underneath continued to remind me of what happened. I went in after 6 weeks to have my extensions raised up. This appointment took maybe 5 - 10 minutes at the most, again for something I did not want but had to get sue to their mistake. She didn't even take out the beads that hold the extensions, she just raised them up so they weren't falling down anymore, $50 later. For at the most 10 minutes!!! after this my long time stylist moved back and opened her own salon and I will say that from that time I took out my extensions went to my friend Amanda that owns her own salon in Silt, Salon West, she has brought my hair back to life and I was able to go blonde from black and blue within a year with HEALTHY AND A FULL HEAD OF HAIR! No damage no falling out full healthy blonde hair. Monica and this team failed to get a small portion of my hair to a dark blue. I have talked to several people that have been in my friends salon getting their hair done and they have told me they went to this same salon and had terrible experiences and going home with intense hair damage. I highly recommend you go to Salon West in Silt, co, it's only 9 miles from Rifle, go to a team that will take care of you, your hair and have you leaving happy And most of all not broke or missing hair!! they may seem like they have it together but by far the worst experiences I've ever had in the past 25 years of styling my hair and dying my hair. Please take it from a born and raised local, DO NOT COME HERE!!! GO TO SALON WEST IN SILT!! read more

First of all it took three phone calls for me to even get a hold of a person to make an appt. and when she answered she wasn't very nice. I thought I would give it a try anyways. When you walk in there is no receptionist so you stand there waiting for someone to come and see you. Their prices are way too high for the quality of work. I probably won't go back. read more
