She has been such a saving grace to my doubts of anyone handling my hair. Lol The shop is very spacious and welcoming. The openness makes me feel comfortable with having my hair tended to.

I figured it would be fine and although Diane's pricing was high, I had no other choice on such short notice. I now know why she was available. Not only did she not do what I requested, the whole highlight and cut was botched. These photos are after paying $300 for my hair. Ha, it looked better before I came in! After I ran from the salon and got home, I started looking closer and was completely mortified. I texted her photos and asked her to correct the color but, the more I thought about going back, the more anxious I became. My request was for her to refund my money so that I could get it corrected by my stylist who works in the same salon. She begrudgingly agreed to refund only $95 as long as I didn't post any negative reviews or slander her name. I'm sorry but, telling the truth about services provided is not slander. I am posting because it's the right thing to do to warn anyone who might be considering Diane as a hairstylist. My advice: don't !

She was one of the sweetest people ever! She was very fun and easy to talk to. So let's get going with the hair. My hair was beyond fried from a previous salon in OC, coconut oil couldn't even save me. I honestly was not expecting much cause my hair was so damaged, I stayed up all night wondering if I really should go on and do my hair or not. Thuy literally saved my hair and gave me a bomb bayalage. I've never seen a bayalage so blended before on my head until she blessed me. She was super chill and fun to talk to, and I never felt uncomfortable at all. She gave me an olapex treatment and my hair felt like hair again, maybe even softer. She also evened out all my layers and I just couldn't be any happier. She is literally the Guy Tang of San Diego

It's so healthy actually that it doesn't matte, it often just falls out of braids because it's such nice quality. I love silky, healthy hair! I have worn a lot of hair extensions and I found two places that have great hair. It's Jazz'd Up Hair and this other place that closed. So I am grateful to have found her!! I am wearing 30inches 5 bundles and plan on getting 2 bundles of 40inches as well! She is very careful with the braids and isn't to tight but isn't to loose. She is really good with checking in with her clients to see if it's comfortable for them. I appreciate the extra love she puts into her craft! Also! The sew in was wonderful! I had pretty short hair and she made me look so amazing! I'm so happy to wear this style that protects my own hair so that I grow it to longer lengths and maybe someday have it actually be 40inches on its own. Make sure to treat yourself and give her a try you won't be sorry! It's way better to invest in hair that will last a long time then hair that will matte and fall apart in 5months. It will save you money and the frustration.

Nearly a year later I still have short broken pieces in the back which makes styling and extension blending difficult. I recently had a consultation with another stylist who said the damage is still bad enough that she would not feel comfortable applying any bleach. Maya was apologetic which I appreciate, but it doesn't undo the damage done. To this day, I feel bald without extensions. I am considering going back to brunette so I don't lose more of my hair. If I had known the consequences would be so dire, I never would have gone blonde with Maya. It saddens me that I'm still paying the price for her mistake.
