Same location concern as other reviewer (don't live in CA YELP)... When my wife and I married I left Farmers and an excellent agent (Ron Taggart) in the Sandy, UT area and fell under State Farms and Shay's office. I am only aware of him and Patty working there. In every instance when I have tried to get help with an auto question, refinancing etc., their office has been extremely slow in responding. Our loan officer (handling a refi for us atm) commented this morning in fact that, "My processor emailed him yesterday. And I also sent him an email as a follow up today and have not heard back from him." This happened a couple of weeks ago as well when trying to get our homeowner insurance policy/proof of coverage info. from the insurance office. And, no replies to (a) call(s) either apparently until Shay finally called to say sorry he was busy, Patty was out etc. and that he had gotten the info. over (very tardy). The loan officer, in talking to me about the hangup -- as we are trying to schedule a closing at title -- also noted, "Typically insurance companies get us what we need right away with [sic] the drop of a hat, not sure what this guy's hang up is...." FYI, I DON'T live in San Fransico, I live in Provo, UT. I don't know where Yelp got that from. I've been with State Farm for so long, I Don't remember when I started with them. Easily up to 4 decades! House and autos. But lately . . . office almost NEVER ANSWERS THE PHONE!!! So you leave a message, THEY NEVER CALL BACK!!! There was a severe hail storm Aug. '24 damaging my roof. I was sweeping up shovels full of the granules for weeks after every rain storm! State Farm said that wasn't hail damage! Roofers did! Houses all around me were getting their roofs replaced, including a house next door, a house across the street, a house 3 houses away from me. There's one 6 houses up the street that had damage but the owner was afraid of getting a rate increase and didn't get it repaired. I mapped no less than 18 houses less than a half mile from mine that got their roofs replaced, and that's just the ones I could find. State Farm sent a man to inspect my roof, and a while later I got a letter of denial. I contacted a roofing company who inspected it and all but promised that the hail damage was real and they'd get the claim approved, but they said State Farm was one of the hardest companies to honor claims. I waited months to hear a resolution, and during that time SIX other roofers looked at may roof, including the contractor who installed it 17 years ago, and ALL said it was definitely hail damage. One day a woman from State Farm calls and tells me the claim is denied because "There's no damage to the metal." Shortly thereafter I managed, miracle of miracles, to get in contact with Shay Condor my agent told him I was quitting State Farm if they didn't approve my claim. Inasmuch as agents aren't involved with claims, he wanted look into it and call me back. That's been a couple months ago and he never called back! I was talking to a neighbor about it, and he had a brother that handled things like this. He came over and spent 30 minutes and determined that there WAS metal damage from the hail. He put in a reinspect to State Farm, that's a month ago and State Farm hasn't responded. Liberty Mutual did my neighbor's house and Farmers did the widow's across the street. Just saying. read more

Alright fam, listen up. It's story time. Buckle up, hold onto your butts, and grabs some tissues because it's about to get emotional. Three years ago I was with Nationwide paying $250 a month and struggling through my first year of graduate school majoring in Marriage & Family Therapy in Chicago, IL. Then, one fateful day in summer, I got a text message from Zach thinking he was messaging a woman named Sharon about her car insurance. I told him I would do a friggin backflip if he could get my insurance payment lowered! So, I gave him my address to see if he could help me out. That's when we discovered that he was an agent in Utah... and I was a customer in Illinois. I. Was. Shook. BUT! He told me not to worry and to stop by my nearest friendly neighborhood State Farm agent and I'd be taken care of because State Farm has a big HQ in Illinois. He assured me I'd be treated so well and that the agents khakis would be freshly pressed - though Zach disclosed he wears his Dr. Dre style which is my preferred style of Khaki now. You know what they say: Once you go Zach, you never go back. And i have not. I got hooked up with State Farm with the help of Zach and FYI - I text him every year on our anniversary and we exchange epic insurance themed rap battles and go our different ways for a while year. I bet if you ask him to spit some smooth rhymes, he'll do it. I know nothing of Zach personally. I've never met him. I've never even heard his voice. But he provided me friendly and professional service even when I didn't ask for it. I will be with State Farm forever. Even though Zach is not allowed to be my insurance agent due to our long-distance situation... he will be my agent at heart. And I know if I ever had a question about State Farm policy... he'd help me out as much as he could given our limited circumstances. Here's the photos of the text that started it all 3 years ago.
