After a couple years it continues to get worse and seems to be related to CPAP treatment. In any case researching doctors came up with another in the same practice that was supposedly award willing. I asked to see this doctor and told flat out you can only see the doctor you started with. No exceptions even if I was not comfortable with the existing doctor, even under threat of finding a new office. I guess they really don't need patients or value the ones they have. I have to hope there is better offerings in Kansas City because this office is the pits. I won't single out a doctor because that is the practice policy. If they have no flexibility between doctors to make sure a good fit, then that reflects upon all doctors in the practice. For as much as it costs for healthcare, it sure is not getting better. Just a cattle mill.

Couldn't tell you how the doctors are at KPSM, because no one could be bothered to answer the phone or return a call.

Dr Fincham made my nose worse after surgery. Saw her maybe for a minute before surgery. They had to…read moreremove a procedure I had said no to yet they still had it on the agenda--thankful I asked first before the surgery. Post op kept telling me I was fine, but I still can't smell anything, nose stuffed up and is worse. They also billed me way too much even after i met my deductible. I would recommend going somewhere else. I would not have Dr Michelle Fincham do anything for you.

He did additional testing and got me on new medication to help avoid future problems. He was very friendly & professional. Any questions we had had took time to explain in a way we could understand. I feel blessed to have survived my health incident and have access to one of the most highly recommended Drs. in this area.

All right, another personal health review... Like I've written previously, I know this is a bit…read moreweird and I'll try to write generally, however if this helps one person who might have similar issues then this will be a good thing. I've written previously about sleep apnea issues and also how I didn't get along well with my old doctor. After him hawing for a little bit, my primary care doctor stressed that I needed to see a specialist and referred me to St. Luke's. Thankfully I listened. I made an appointment and took the plunge. My provider, who is a crusty veteran with some skin in the game, took a look at my past history and took me to task. She was quite direct about my situation, what I needed to do and that she didn't have any patience if I didn't want to follow through. She said if I had issues, she needed to know about it and if not, then not to waste her time because she had a waiting list. It was the staunch kick in the hindquarters that I needed. I had already updated my mask, but she took a look at my machine, made some updates, gave me some other advice and sent me back out in the world. After my second appointment, she noted the progress I've been making, but also pointed out the journey I was on and where I was headed. She made more tweaks to my machine and sent me on my way. While I'm still working on those things, I feel a lot better than I used to, which is a tribute to her. I'm thankful she is here. One small drawback to this practice, its billing department is terrible. The practice asked for a credit card to keep on file for any cost overruns or costs that insurance wouldn't cover. Unfortunately, they charged my credit card for my visit as well as my insurance. After some back and forth, even though I provided proof that my insurance had indeed paid them, the practice still wouldn't refund me my charges. Finally, after threatening an attorney general complaint, the practice admitted they received my insurance's payment and refunded the charge. I'm glad the practice came to its senses, but it shouldn't have taken this long. Please beware if you decide to do business here.
