    All right, another personal health review... Like I've written previously, I know this is a bit…read moreweird and I'll try to write generally, however if this helps one person who might have similar issues then this will be a good thing. I've written previously about sleep apnea issues and also how I didn't get along well with my old doctor. After him hawing for a little bit, my primary care doctor stressed that I needed to see a specialist and referred me to St. Luke's. Thankfully I listened. I made an appointment and took the plunge. My provider, who is a crusty veteran with some skin in the game, took a look at my past history and took me to task. She was quite direct about my situation, what I needed to do and that she didn't have any patience if I didn't want to follow through. She said if I had issues, she needed to know about it and if not, then not to waste her time because she had a waiting list. It was the staunch kick in the hindquarters that I needed. I had already updated my mask, but she took a look at my machine, made some updates, gave me some other advice and sent me back out in the world. After my second appointment, she noted the progress I've been making, but also pointed out the journey I was on and where I was headed. She made more tweaks to my machine and sent me on my way. While I'm still working on those things, I feel a lot better than I used to, which is a tribute to her. I'm thankful she is here. One small drawback to this practice, its billing department is terrible. The practice asked for a credit card to keep on file for any cost overruns or costs that insurance wouldn't cover. Unfortunately, they charged my credit card for my visit as well as my insurance. After some back and forth, even though I provided proof that my insurance had indeed paid them, the practice still wouldn't refund me my charges. Finally, after threatening an attorney general complaint, the practice admitted they received my insurance's payment and refunded the charge. I'm glad the practice came to its senses, but it shouldn't have taken this long. Please beware if you decide to do business here.
