There are certain things I look for from a business when giving a 5-star review. Shawarma Time met all of them! Bromise (owner) was the epitome of class from start to finish. He was personable, knowledgeable about his products, and handed us samples of the beef, chicken and sauces so that we could make informed decisions about what to order. He made recommendations based on what would bring out the flavors of the meat, shared what not to add and checked on us after we received our food. Everything is cooked to order but worth the wait. The vibe is casual and laid back. I ordered the regular chicken shawarma sandwich combo and my friend ordered the double cheeseburger combo. I picked spicy garlic sauce and stayed with Bromise's recommendation of only adding pickles to my sandwich. The sandwich is a grilled tortilla that's cut into manageable slices. Everything about the sandwich was delicious! The meat was tender and well marinated. The spicy garlic sauce added just enough kick without overpowering the meat. The chopped pickles were the perfect sidekick on the sandwich. The fries were hot and seasoned well, though just a tad salty. Next time I'll request light salt. This was not a deal breaker though. My friend eats his burgers plain, so Bromise offered to include the special house made burger sauce on the side for him to try. I tried it, liked the tangy sweet flavor and used it as a fry dip. I would request this again on a future trip. At the time, we were the only customers but I think their crowd probably comes around lunch time. I throughly enjoyed the service, the conversation with the owner and especially the food here and wish them continued success. I will definitely be a repeat customer! 10/10 experience. read more

I'm not well versed in this cuisine, but I am learning. The staff here helped me with their options and it was an excellent meal. I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl with rice and greens, and it was hot and fresh. I am not big on all the added sauces and veggies typically but they offered a few things to try and were all great! I was in the area for work and looking for a quick lunch. We found this place via google maps and it did not disappoint. The place is small and welcoming. There are a few booths if you want to dine in. The owner of the place went above and beyond to assist us and even let us try the chicken, beef and falafel. He made great recommendations. I settled for a mix bowl and my coworker got a shawarma with fries. The food was hot, freshly made and delicious! The fries had a tangy spice to it. This was my first time checking out Shawarma Time, the new Halal spot in Birmingham, AL. Since it's fully Halal, I had to give it a try. I went with the chicken shawarma sandwich, which is one of their most popular items and; it was seriously good. Super tasty, filling, and totally hit the spot. Stopped by as we were craving shawarma and falafel as we weee driving through town. Extensive menu with many options of bowel sandwiches and platters. Even shawarma meet by the pound. Very friendly and welcoming staff. I like that sandwiches are roasted. Good size sandwiches for the price and great meat amounts in the sandwich. The beef shawarma excellent. We are driving through town and my son wanted shawarma to eat so we just found this place randomly and are so glad we did! This food was amazing! We came during the afternoon and our food was very fresh and hot. The fries were seasoned with a homemade seasoning that was SO good. The owner was very friendly and had us taste a couple of other items in addition to what we ordered. We both had the chicken shawarma wrap...highly recommend! Super nice place with great workers. They were really helpful in deciding on what to eat. Me and my boyfriend were the only ones in there but it still was pretty relaxing regardless. We both got the beef shawarma meal, which was really good. Only downside was that it was kind of expensive for our food.
