It is a little jumbled. So might want to go down the next road. Pool entry is on the left hand side. They accept debit/credit and cash. Their new system was a bit bogged down. Prices did go up a couple of dollars for residents and non. They have the ample space for adding more chairs. I felt like they definitely were at capacity at one point. Some folks had to put their towels off to the side of the large leisure pool. Concessions area is between the restrooms. Prices seemed decent. Did not try any food. Maybe next time. You take your food to the shaded eating area. They still have the diving board. The kiddie pool is expanded and they have a waited area. They added two slides for big kids and adults to enjoy. Overall not bad. They definitely could add more lounge chairs!!

This is a strange little park buried deep in South County. It's incredibly small, has a very…read morestrange little pond that is usually filled with ducks but not much water, tennis courts that you have to wait hours to get on, and rock bedded playground that will fill your shoes with pebbles you will find for the next week. All that strangeness and yet I still love this little park. Because it's so small it's usually very very peaceful. You can always find a bench or some tree to lean against and read, you can lay on a blanket in the fields and get some sun, you easily get a game of kickball together because the softball field is always empty. There's a little pavilion you can rent for parties or family reunions. It's the perfect size, has a huge grill, and since the park is usually fairly empty (with the exception of the tennis courts) you will generally get your run of the park. It's really just a nice little neighborhood park. If the pond was nicer, I'd say it looked like something out of Stepford, but well, if you saw the pond, you'd understand why that just couldn't be so.

In winter, a park hill provides snow sledding. A serene spot in the park is set aside for the Angel of Hope statue, a memorial to all parents who have experienced the death of a child. Each December 6 an evening candlelight memorial service is held here.

However, I am knocking a star for their terrible online ticketing website. It appears they limit non-resident passes to twenty a day, which makes getting put into a que and then taken to another page, which was finicky, to pay with credit card quite annoying and also nervemaking, as I worried we had driven out for nothing as the number of tickets left went down... Anyway, I was impressed overall. Not sure I'll be back out before it closes for the season (mid-August, which seems early), but I was happy to invited once!

I can see how it was a little frustrating when all the renovations were going on and the gym had frequent closures, but now that it's done I feel like it was definitely worth it.

After finally moving back to the Lou to raise a family we decided to rejoin the club to partake in the swimming and the tennis courts. The decor really hasn't changed much in several decades. The same wooden doors grace the entrance and the same smell and sound of indoor tennis permeates once you walk in. They dining room has been nicely expanded and looks very comfortable. There are about 9 rubberized indoor courts. The rubberized courts are fairly unique in St. Louis. They are much easier on the knees while chasing down tennis balls. They did install volleyball/basketball courts in the lower level along with a rehab and sports fitness center. The use of which is all included in a full club membership. Not too bad! Outdoor courts are incredible. There are about 15 courts in total but 6 of these are true "clay" courts. Also a hard find in St. Louis as they are harder to maintain. If you like French open tennis then check these clay courts out! No grass courts however. On the top lawn they have a small croquet pad as well. My kiddos love the swimming pool. Designed for both lap swim and leisure. They have a small kiddie pool just right for toddlers and plenty of covered tables and seating around the pool. Different days of the week they have food specials. Our favorite is the taco Tuesdays! Life guards always on duty.
