The songs were joyous and entertaining. The show was interactive and so much fun! The seats were also very comfortable. All of the cast/crew are volunteers and you can tell they love what they do. I will definitely be back for another show here! All of the cast was wonderful, but my favorite "volunteer" there was Sparks, the sweet Dalmation pup, whose dad runs the lights.

It was incredible, well performed, had great set design,...and was soooo interactive. These thespians, certainly are "professionals". This time the audience solved the mystery of the piece. Dickens died before finishing it , so of course, "who done it" was unknown. We were given clues along the way...and voted during the final act...then the players acted out "our" ending. For those who don't know, the theater celebrated its 100th anniversary this year and appears to be thriving. However, it does not live on without the support of you...me... and the rest of the community. So check out their upcoming performances, and look into next season... "See you at the play!" "!

One of the fundraising efforts is, selling a seat, starting at $1,000. As usual, they seat the late comes; a few patrons non stop talking; candy wrappers ... for a moment, it feels like a zoo or among kindergartners. I think if they enforce the late comer rule, people may respect it a little more.

It was sold in 1998 to the Palladium Theatre and renovated. Then in 2007 was given to St. Petersburg College. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. We purchased tickets $25 for the modern dance show Beacon. We had great seats and sat second row center. It was very entertaining and had an enjoyable evening.

I went to a purchase a ticket for the Saturday night Whose Line show, but it sold out! I called and they said they have a few overflow seat accommodations, and I should come anyway. Even sitting off to the side on a chair, I had the time of my life. I truly can't wait to come back. All improv, lots of audience inspo, and just soooo much fun. All the players were great and I'm really looking forward to bringing my friends next time! A few snacks/canned bevvies for purchase. About 30 seats for the show. Great host, great lighting, great everything!!

It is also a theatre where every seat is good (unless very tall people sit in front of you) and sound is excellent. We've seen many shows here and find the paid and volunteer staff welcoming and helpful. The bathroom situation is similar to other places in that they have several places to go, but it can be a lengthy wait if more women than men attend the event. Men always seem to be much more quick! Our latest outing here was for ONE NIGHT OF QUEEN. It was louder than we wanted (Apple Watch went off many times warning of hearing loss). The light show was amazing. The musical side was good, but not spectacular (why could we not understand what they were singing for the first 4 obscure Queen songs?). We look forward to attending more events here.

The art on the walls is pleasing to look at, they offer it at little to no cost to different types of artists, and that's fantastic. I think every community needs this kind of space. There were 2 major detractors to the space though: Parking. If you park next to the building You WILL BE TOWED. They do not own the space. So parking is either confusing or on the street -especially if you're not from the area. And Risers are needed. I was in the 2nd to the back row. I'm nearly 6' tall, but I still had to bob and weave to watch the people on the "stage" and by stage I mean the floor. So either make a stage or give risers to your people in chairs.

It's small and intimate (probably less than 200 seats) which allows the audience to connect with the performers. I have seen various shows by American Stage and am always impressed with how they can transform the stage. I also love that they bring the set into the audience! The theatre is location on the second floor and has a service area where you can purchase beer, wine, and even liquor before a performance or during intermission. The theatre is currently requiring guests to show vaccination and wear masks during the show.

The staff is great. The seats are comfortable. The snacks are plentiful.
