Someone from our group got nervous on her paddle board with it being her first time, and one of their staff quickly brought her a kayak. It is definitely worth the buck!

This was unfortunately an underwhelming kayaking experience…read more Kayaking the river was not the most relaxing experience. There are constantly boats going through, which creates waves. The biggest surprise in our rental experience was the fact that there was no assistance at the end of your kayak time. You were expected to get out of the boat yourself and pull the boat back on the dock. Thankfully, it's shallow water but I've never experienced a rental that did not provide this assistance. The kayak is low-frill. There are no bungee ropes to support your belongings. There also aren't the usual little holes in rentals to help water flow out, so by the end, there was quite a bit of water in the boat. There also is no anchor so you are essentially kayaking the entire time. We reserved for three hours, which was too much. We used just under two hours. There also is no free parking nearby, which is a bummer. It's an okay rental experience. This probably is better targeted for tourists and I'd recommend two hours and preferably when there is less construction on the river.
