While I don't believe his representation improved the outcome, I was satisfied with the expertise and legal advice I received. The problem, rather, was related to response times. Replies to my simple, sometimes time-sensitive questions, by email, repeatedly went unanswered for over a week, despite many follow-ups to Mr. Lucifero and his assistant. As I write this, I've been waiting on a reply to one last question for 85 days (60 days since I asked it the third time.) As a result of all the delays, I ended up losing about $900. Mr. Lucifero also missed a calculation error that would have cost me $4,400 had I not caught it myself. Beyond the financial impacts, Mr. Lucifero's lack of attention to my dossier added considerable stress during an already stressful time. I know I am not a big fish. In hindsight, I wish I'd taken my business elsewhere or asked for a more junior lawyer who might have been more attentive.

He then uses scare tactics to make you sign again to "get off" from him because he does not want to go before a judge to explain his actions. He very likely does this scam often as he shows no conscience when confronted with his unfit to practice behaviour. His superior tone, hostile attitude if you question an item on his bill, abrupt threats if you don't do as he says reveal a despicable character within the estate law world. There is also no background, no reviews on him on lawyer ratings - rather odd as he has worked in Toronto for quite some time again, with disabled persons. His company is reported to the bank, to the LSO and small claims court, as a scammer so is now on record.

They also don't tell you there is a $50k deductible on all automobile accident law suits. Unless you have broken bones or sever physical injuries don't bother suing. As long as you can walk and work you have no case according to my experience and what my lawyer said. Even my lawyer said " judges want to see broken bones and people in wheel chairs, they don't care about muscle and joint pain or the inability to throw a ball anymore or run or do any sports. These judges are in their 70s and don't want to hear people complain about pain." His words. I got rear ended at 100km an hour by a drunk driver. I got next to nothing. 3 years of feeling like I'm being followed and watched by the other insurance company. 3 years of fighting this and living in pain and working permanent light duties. If I lose my job I can't get another like it because of my injuries. The rest of my life is pain. But according to Cariaties lawyers judges don't care. So when I wanted to take it to court they convinced me I have no case and would end up paying the other guys lawyer fees. I got 1 MRI on my back (that in got on my own). My neck is messed up and they did not even try to have me get it checked out. No follow up pain or movement exams. No nothing. Just "make us a case" and that's is all the advice they offer. I don't know the legal system. I don't know what to do. I did not know that working in pain on permanent light duties would ruin my case. No one told.me. This company is here for easy money. I suggest giving your easy money to people who deserve it. Not this company of vultures . If I knew this would be my experience, I never would have sued and just went on with my life. 3 years of of high stress for nothing.
