Shannon Lee is so rockin I can't wait to book more sessions with this wonderful lady. She is so personable, has that personality you can't help but love, and she truly puts 100% into all of her pictures. I booked a 15 minute photo session with my daughter for a valentines day special Shannon was having with baby boutique Mia and the Dragonfly in Magnolia Park in Burbank. My daughter was not into the idea, she was cranky and was irritable, Shannon is a professional and got some amazing shots, and even got shots of her smiling. I was so impressed and happy with the results. I felt that she was very explanatory regarding packages and prints and I knew going into it that images that wanted to be purchased on any kind of a disc were only the images that were on the actual ordering site. I think she got plenty of pictures for only a 15 minute session. I now have some amazing keepsakes and memories hung on my wall of my precious daughter all thanks to Shannon. I've been using Shannon for all my important moments in life for a long time now. I don't know why I haven't reviewed her sooner! In 2010, she shot both my engagement session in Griffith Park (amazing!) and my wedding in the middle of nowhere Delaware. She was willing to travel to our little wedding, to a place she'd never been to before, just to make our day special. And she was fabulous!! She got all the family pics and more than we could have asked for, got a bunch of sweet photos of my husband and I around the vineyard where we were married, and got a bunch of amazing candid photos throughout the ceremony and the reception. 3 years later, I don't remember every detail or our programs, music, etc., but I do get to relive all the amazing moments through her beautiful photos and stunning wedding album that she designed for us. We adored her wedding photos so much, that we didn't even hesitate to get the 1 year package she offers when we found out we were pregnant. We are now closing in on our son's 1 year birthday and she has captured so many amazing photos of him from his newborn session to now. She is so great with babies; she has some kind of magic that gets the best expressions and reactions from them! Even as a newborn, she calmed our crying son and got some truly adorable photos. Now he smiles and lights up whenever she is around with her camera!! She has really great wedding and family photo packages, plus her products are top notch. I ordered a disc of photos from my wedding and purchase a canvas on my own with a Groupon. It was wrapped weird and cut off half of the composition that made the photo beautiful. When I wanted a family canvas from my son's 6 month session, I ordered it from Shannon and it was amazing. She only orders the best stuff and takes the time to make sure it looks great for you and is exactly what you want. It was definitely worth it! I love Shannon and recommend her to everyone I know who is engaged or pregnant. (keep in mind, this all started because I simply asked if her originals were clearer and/or brighter than the proofs online) ... She is an immature crook and I recommend you stay FAR away from anyone who does business like this. She did a photo session of my baby and we got some pretty cute photos. She was very sweet and you could tell she worked very hard for the best shot. Sadly, I purchased a photo cd off her site that she titled the "entire session" but only sent me a cd with the best 25 images of the session. When I emailed her to ask why she just never replied back. Poor customer service. read more

Shannon took some photos of boys at a mini photo session for Valentine's day. I was so appreciative of her patience with my wild and crazy 4 year old. Most photographers would get frustrated but she rolled with it and encouraged his wackiness so that the photos were funny and represented his personality. I love how she offers ecards, Facebook covers, and mini books as an option. I've never had that from a photographer. I always just get a cd. read more

HIGHLY recommend Shannon! She shot our wedding in April which was a two part wedding (one day traditional Indian wedding and the next day was American style vow exchange/reception). We were looking for a photographer who would document our wedding in a way that would allows us to re-live it many years later. Shannon Lee and Justin delivered that and more! They really documented the special event in such a beautiful way. Planning: First, let me say Shannon had a challenge right off the bat working with us. I was in NYC, my then fiancé was in Chicago, and Shannon and our wedding location were in L.A. Yet, even across three different time zones Shannon made it work. We conference called and made it work! The planning was smooth all the way and she was so pleasant to work with. We were having a very difficult time with our potential venue, at times I wanted to throw in the towel and elope and take Shannon with us. We often said "At least we have Shannon for our wedding, thank God." When we talked to Shannon and shared our troubling times she was very empathetic and HELPFUL, she offered suggestions and provided references. She was so supportive! Since we were based out of town, we had to wait for our in person planning meeting until the holidays. We met at a Starbucks and at this time we met Justin, her co-pilot and fiancé. They really dedicated time to inform of us of our options, showed us samples of products, and talked about our wedding details (to plan accordingly). This reaffirmed our choice. Wedding day: Shannon and Justin were outstanding the day of and very professional. They made sure to capture all of the "must have shots," and unique shots that only an artist can see. At various times Shannon said "Uh!" I had no idea what she was referring to but, once we saw the pictures, we saw what she was referring to, AMAZING SHOTS! One's wedding can be a whirlwind and you can't be everywhere at once. No worries, Shannon and Justin will capture the day! It was great to see all of the things that were going on when you were elsewhere. Something I greatly appreciated was the way they captured the groom's experience. I saw so many photographers' work focus predominately on the bride, and we wanted to make sure the groom's wedding day was also captured. Shannon and Justin did an amazing job capturing the guys being goofy and everything else. The Pictures: AMAZING! All of those times Shannon said "Uh!" We now see what her genius eye was looking at. We got so many complements on the pictures; everyone said they loved them, and that they really captured the day. Mission accomplished, our day was documented in such a beautiful way. Shannon is a terrific photographer! We've had two sessions with her so far, and I think I may just have to fly her to us when my family moves out of state next month! She did my newborn's first photos in our home and not only were the pictures wonderful, she was very professional, sweet and patient with my fussy baby. Also the photos were available very quickly! We recently enjoyed a session with a mommy group I belong to. Shannon gave us a really good deal (only $10 fee per!! unheard of) and was agile enough to get really great individual shots of a dozen babies in a short amount of time in a park. I swear some of those shots should be sent to Parenting magazines! She was generous enough to gift every one with a free 8x10, a free 5x7 group shot, AND a discount on future sessions. My wife and I couldn't have been happier choosing Shannon to document our wedding. If you don't want to read any further, go ahead and book her. You won't be disappointed. As a former professional journalistic and documentary photographer, my friends often asked how I feel trusting someone to cover my wedding. For years, I had thought about this. How serious would they take the assignment? How likable would he or she be? Would he or she make us feel comfortable and natural in front of the lens? On a professional level, Shannon was a pleasure to work with. Although our wedding took place in Sonoma, we're from Texas, and we were a little worried about booking her without a meeting. We were quickly reassured as she was prompt to respond via email and phone. She was very accommodating, packing in our engagement session and wedding the same weekend. On a personal level, Shannon was fun to work with. She was friendly, energetic, and casual. Shortly after our first few shots during our engagement session, my wife and I dropped our barriers of self-consciousness. Bear in mind that our wedding was two days following, and I knew I had to get comfortable quickly or look like a nervous wreck. The casualness and humor between Shannon and her co-photographer dissolved our anxiety. After the engagement session, I knew I could comfortably cruise through our wedding with hundreds of eyes upon us. On a technical level, Shannon and her assistant use equipment that I would use, specifically full-frame Canon bodies with L-series prime lenses; she's sparing nothing in terms of optics. To get those perfect shots, she doesn't hesitate to get down on the ground for the best angle, especially when she needs to hide background distractions like tourists, dumpsters, etc. Shannon's artistic perspective is what really caught our eye. She is very much aware of foreground and background elements, taking advantage of depth-of-focus. She also presents many of her images in a high-key exposure that hides distractions. On top of this, we did not feel that her photographic style misportrayed the way we look or the scenery. That is, her images are exactly how we remembered the weekend's events. After our wedding, she provided us with an online album to preview the images. We'll be getting a DVD and several albums as well. The DVD is on hold until we choose which images go in the album. She'll touch up those images and burn them on the DVD. Because we needed to mail a couple photos to family who could not attend, we asked her to give us a few original resolution image files in the meantime. In summary, I am extremely pleased to have trusted Shannon with our wedding. She exceeded our expectations. I really believe that we enjoyed our wedding more because she got us feeling comfortable early on. read more

We hired Shannon Lee Images to do my daughter's' wedding and she was great. So professional and with a great eye for how to best capture the photos of the best in the best backgrounds. She photos are wonderful, charming and evocative.
