She was willing to set up our appointment after my fiancee and I finished work and worked very hard until 8 pm that evening. They are good for creative accounting and talking with people who have no accounting knowledge, if that's what you need. I'm still trying to get them to finalize my fiscal year which ended June 30th 2017 - now is February 22nd 2018. This accounting office is tired and not recommended. They don't seem to have a grasp of basic information systems.

Showed up for my appointment 5 min early, only to be told that the tax person I was scheduled with was with another client and wouldn't be finished for another hour. I was asked if I could come back 3 hours later, if I wanted to make another appointment and if I just wanted to upload photos of my tax documents for them to be taken care of. None of those alternative options are acceptable. What is the point of making and confirming an appointment if that time slot is not going to be available to you?? With so many options for tax prep, do yourself a favor and choose somewhere else. Don't waste your valuable time like I did.

I hired Mr. Shakun in November to do my taxes. He never responded to three emails I sent him: one…read morein January, one in February and the last one in March. He never responded, not once. One of the emails was to explain that I got a 1099 from one of my six employers just last month! I will owe several thousand dollars in taxes this year, so with my employers providing documents as late as last month, and me, not having the funds to pay such a large bill previously, there was no point in doing my taxes early. But today Mr. Shakun called to say he won't do my taxes because he says it's too late. Tax day is still six days away. He claims the reason he didn't respond to my three emails is that he never received them, and as far as me getting documents as late as last month, he said: "I don't care!" Fortunately I have a backup plan, but I would not recommend him to anyone looking for an accountant who is communicative and willing to work with widowed single moms who work several part time jobs like me. I am very disappointed.
