I think it's only worth coming for the peonies but otherwise, it's free (unless you park in the front and then you have to pay).

We stopped by the visitor center and got a guide to the different types of peonies. They also had a restroom which was nice. We took the 2.7 Nichols Walking Trail and really enjoyed the nature, wildlife, scenic city overlooks, and the Huron river views. I would say it's a medium level of hard given that most of the path is easy walking but some steeper inclines and steps that get your heart rate working. It was incredibly pleasant, we spent a little over 90 mins exploring. Also, we learned there is free parking in the Blue M28 lot on the weekends and were able to utilize it! Looked like dogs were welcome, met some friendly pups. Saw people having a picnic in the park and a cute little free library! Such a wonderful place, really glad we came!

The Bonzai trees are "sleeping" according to their sign :0( It's $5 for 2 hour parking (I still pay inside because the machine never accepts my credit card). There is a lot to explore here though. When we heard it was sadly closing down at the end of the year, we made a special trip just to stop in here. It's a beautiful store with more than just gardening supplies. We picked up some toys for our cats as well as some Christmas ornaments and postcards as memorabilia. And I especially love how despite Luis the store cat passing away over 10 years ago, you can still find lots of references to him around the store. Really wish there was a way to save this place. :(

Fresh Cutz turned out to be that and so much more. So far, they have completely refreshed my front and back yard through a combination of trimming, removing poison ivy, removing several dead trees/bushes, and weeding my flower bed (along with mowing). I have used other local landscaping services to clean up my yard, and my bills have been in the thousands; Fresh Cutz was in the hundreds. With the excellent quality and reasonable prices, I will gladly continue to use their service moving forward.

The owner gave me a quote on Sunday August 14 for $40 per hour/4 hours and was supposed to perform the work on August 18. Today, August 17, the day before he was supposed to come out, he raised his prices to $65 per hour via text message: "Hey sorry about this, but due to recent changes, we have upped our prices to 65$/hour. I can come and do one hour today for $65. Let me know if that works..." When I asked him why the price changed in a few days he said: "Yes. We change prices based on demand and circumstances. I have unlimited clients at this point so we set prices accordingly. I plan on raising to $200/hour. This is just business economics...My time is very valuable." Needless to say, we did NOT go with Paul's *Professional* Weeding service and found another company.

He came out to mow my lawn and right away I noticed how fast he was going in his tractor, which was concerning. Following the completion of the job, I noticed he had cut the lawn unevenly in several areas. He also didn't move a small table and chairs in my lawn and just mowed around it, leaving the tall grass underneath. I called and texted Nelson several times to voice my concerns and ensure these mistakes weren't made twice. He never returned my texts or phone calls and didn't show up to mow my lawn again. I would definitely not recommend this company. Its true, you get what you pay for.

I did a bit of quick math on the mulch and sent me a text shortly after with the rate for the labor and the materials. I found it to be incredibly reasonable so we decided to move forward with the job. They are booked pretty heavily so it took a couple of weeks for our appointment but they showed up and worked efficiently to finish the job neatly and thoroughly. Our garden looks amazing and they did a great job pulling all those pesky weeds in our rock beds that had been causing me grief (and back pain!) over the spring and summer. I'm so happy with how it all looks. I can't stop marveling at our very cute yard now! And my plants seem way happier now that we've got the mulch around them as well. Will definitely keep them in mind for any future jobs we may need.
