They told us it was a slow night and they could give him a gluten free bun and he specified his burger should only have the burger and cheese, nothing else. They confirmed. When the order arrived, it was loaded with everything. Thinking it was a simple fix, we contacted the store and asked they send out a new burger as he could not consume what they sent. They told us they would not send out the item again and said it was our problem as we ordered online and they don't accept customizations, eventhough it says to call if you have an allergy and when we did call, they said they would oblige the request. When I asked to speak to the manager, suddenly their tune changed and said it was incredibly busy and the manager could not come to the phone. I confronted her with her own words shortly before where she stated that is was a slow night. She then pivoted and told me it was late (it was around 2hrs before they closed) and the manager had other things to do than speak with me. I was furious that they would screw up an order, then tell us it was our problem, lie about the manager being unailable then tell me the manager had better things to do. WOW! JUST WOW! I cannot stress enough that this is a horrible location and I do not adivse you patrongage this establishment as they will tell you it's your problem if they mess up and you'll be stuck paying for something you can't eat.

However since we were hungry and happened to drive in the park by accident we decided 'why the hell not' I actually hadn't been in one prior to this so wasn't sure what to expect. Now if I thought TGI's with a better menu than I would of guessed correctly. It's pretty much the same but with a far more wide ranging menu that delves in to American big boy platters and more delicate Italian staples. We went big boy platter and my oh my was it a biggy. Chicken, loaded potato skins, chicken, breadsticks, chicken, BBQ sauce and some more chicken. It was very filling and very tasty I thought. Service was pretty good and food came very quickly. I was pretty chuffed coming out as I was thinking I was going to go into a style over substance restaurant and came out pretty with the opposite opinion.

While all Frankie & Benny's are pretty much the same, and all look awesome, have great music and do fantastic birthdays, this Frankie & Benny's is not quite as lovely as others that I've been to, and I was a tad disappointed. For one, the staff aren't as upbeat as they are in others where I've had waiters go to all kinds of lengths to make my brother's birthday as special as possible. And even when it's not that busy, it doesn't seem to run very efficiently. The other thing that saddens me about this place (and it's only a really minor point) is the layout. It's smaller than most F&B's so the bar isn't as separated from the rest of the restaurant, and one of the things I love about Frankie & Benny's is being able to watch the kitchen, which it's not possible to do from the tables by the windows here. Regardless of these things, Cardiff F&B's is still fantastic and I'd recommend it to anyone going for a group meal or a birthday, and their Christmas meals are great too- perfect for the office party.

They have a fairly small Welsh menu and I was hoping to try some rarebit but unfortunately they took it off the menu now. So, I had the lamb cawl and beef and cottage pie. The pie was absolutely amazing, one of the best I have had so far. Lamb cawl was mediocre but I didn't have too much expectation from it to begin with. Everything was very reasonably priced and you can order from the table using their app and have the food delivered at the table which was amazing for a small town like Cardiff. The place in itself is amazing, its an old movie theater converted to a pub and like other reviewers mentioned they did not tear down the theater but just built the seating around it (good decision). The seating upstairs is more private and gives a good view of the whole theater.

Light and airy lamb meat balls. The sausage and mash even better, also very light in texture made of leeks and onion. Welsh rarebit comes out proper hot, very good classic. Reasonable prices. Didn't get a chance to try the Welsh fruit cake because the kitchen closed at 10pm. It's a fun, lively pub atmosphere.

I always order the breakfast 37 which has the Bhudda (One with everything) It's about the size of the Fiji island and will knock your hangover for 6 if you can finish it. Generally I won't eat for the rest of the day afterwards. The staff here are fantastic. Always so friendly and really can't do enough for you, it is always so pleasant to be served by them. Prices are fine here aswell. For just over £6 you will the breakfast of a lifetime and a drink with that, aswell as a cuppa tea. If you get beyond the rather unattractive shop front and venture inside, it's easy to see why it's so popular. It serves huge, belly-busting breakfasts, stuffing students with enough food to last them until well after lectures finish. The plates return to the kitchen virtually clean, so the food obviously goes down well - and if you miss out on breakfast, they do similarly proportioned lunches, too. The staff are generally a cheery bunch, despite being surrounded by hungover students, and during term time the place is a hub of activity.
