Twice this year my family had need of legal help, and Tim Harrington was the man who helped us out. Each time, situations that could have been very harmful or damaging, were mitigated through Tim's expert handling of the issues. It gives me real piece of mind having Tim represent us. Not that I am looking forward to the next event, but he will absolutely be the guy that we come back to should the need arise. read more

I hired Shaheen and Gordon to help me with a neighbor who was encroaching on my property. I became a little concerned when they made a mistake on their engagement letter and decided to stick with them since I needed assistance and finding a lawyer who could assist in real estate law in New Hampshire has been challenging. I received a draft within approximately two weeks which matched the expectations set during the initial meeting. After week three and requesting a status update, the letter was sent to the neighbor, and my issue was quickly resolved by the neighbor. A new issue was identified with a different neighbor, however after reaching out to the attorney for assistance, this was missed without resolution. I then cancelled the request for assistance and closed my account. Around the time of the second issue, I was asking for assistance with a living trust and a different attorney was recommended. I made an appointment to meet the new attorney and hear what services he was able to provide. When I called the billing department about receiving the balance of my retainer, billing informed me that she wanted to hold on to the retainer for future possible business. I decided to cancel my appointment with the individual who might have been able to assist me with a living trust to receive the balance of my retainer and help their billing team understand that holding on to my retainer balance was not going to be an option for them. My perception is when options are limited quality can be sacrificed due to limitations of options. read more

I'm not entirely sure how Andrew Piela made partner. He was completely unprepared for trial, failed to communicate, overbilled and under delivered. I found procedural deficiencies a seasoned attorney like him should have spotted immediately. He failed to provide sound counsel and was a complete waste of money. I expected more from Shaheen & Gordon, this guy over promised and under delivered like a used car salesman of the law world. I expect that trend runs through the entire firm. As a State Representative, I would never use this firm. read more

I sent an email asking a question to update trust and getting a DFPOA. A rep from Concord returned call and asking me about my beneficiary and their names and addresses???? I said why do I need to tell you that personal information when I don't even know if I'm going to use the firm or not. Then she said she'd have an attorney contact me, it's been 3 days. I guess they aren't in a rush for new business for people in their Dover community. read more

Don't hold your breath waiting for a call back! I called the main # and spoke to nice woman who put me through to Intake. Had to leave msg. I waited for a couple hours, then got a shower. They called. They left another # for the Intake Dept. I called. Left msg. 24 hours since calling the Intake #. I decided to try Burns, Bryant, Rockefeller and Durkin. This firm is great! So glad it worked out this way! read more

Called for a consult on a wrongful death of a family member. The attorney took three weeks to return a call , after I called to complain. I would certainly look at other firms before calling this firm in Portland Maine office. I spoke with three other attorneys willing to pursue a lawsuit for my family. It appears that they cherry pick what cases they are willing to represent. Best advice , find another law firm. read more

Now that my situation is almost completely resolved, let me tell you about the most fantastic attorney and paralegal in the world.... Stacey Bellabona (atty) and Lori Wheaton (p/l) are two of the most amazing people I know! Stacey is meticulous, professional, understanding, kind, and a bulldog in court!! You could not ask for a better attorney who will look out for your best interest AND not be afraid to tell you like it is! Lori is crazy good! Organized, understanding, full of suggestions, quick to reply.....I've been THRILLED with everything she's done! Overall, if you've got a legal issue, I would HIGHLY suggest Stacey and Lori at Shaheen and Gordon in Dover! read more

If you find yourself in a situation where you are in need of an experienced criminal attorney, then I would recommend you choose Tim Harrington. Tim Harrington is a professional, conscientious, intelligent, patient, respectful, and compassionate attorney. Yes, he is one of the "good guys" and you want him in YOUR corner. My husband found himself falsely accused of very serious crimes, when he was protecting our daughter from an evil, violent, abusive man, who had repeatedly beaten and strangled her. ( The abusive man just recently pled guilty to beating another young woman!). This abusive man's well-honed manipulation skills were used to convince the prosecutor that he was an innocent victim. Shockingly, the prosecutor bought his lies and decided to pursue a case against my husband, who was trying to protect our daughter and defend himself. Attorney Harrington was able to read, study, and absorb the multitude of evidence, depositions, police reports, etc. in both the case against my husband and the long and varied criminal cases against the abusive man. He was able to untangle the many lies and inconsistencies found and present the facts in an organized, coherent, and poignant manner to the jury. Attorney Harrington takes the time he needs to make sure he does his very best to help defend and protect you. Attorney Harrington takes his responsibility seriously; he is the attorney you want to defend you. read more

Shaheen & Gordon welcome's Chris Ratte. I want to say I do not have any experience with this firm, but do have a comment about a lawyer they just hired. Chris Ratte did not represent us well. I wish he did a good job for us. It was the worst experience we have ever had, It is a very stressful situation when you have a boundary dispute and when your attorney becomes radio silent, it is very upsetting. We are members of the Hyatt Legal Service which is an insurance offered by our employer to subsidize legal fees. Chris Ratte is a member of the Hyatt Legal Plan and accepted to represent us. However, we were told by Chris that he doesn't get paid much from Hyatt and then he became less responsive to our heated boundary dispute by not returning our phone calls or emails. I had to make several calls to complain about him to Hyatt and the firm he work for prior to joining this firm. Then we would get a quick email stating his is working on the case and will get back to us soon. I could write a book how unresponsive and poor follow through he has shown over the past 2 years. Terrible representation. It has been such an awful experience working with him. Good luck with anyone who works with him. I sure hope he cleans up his act with this new firm. read more

I recently had Jeff Manganaro (attorney) and Lori Wheaton (paralegal)represent me in my divorce matter. Jeff is a very thorough and skilled attorney that is very responsive and gives great advice. Lori is extremely personable and intelligent, and is very engaged in guiding you through the process. I highly suggest using them if you are looking for representation in your situation. Shaheen and Gordon helped me out of a very difficult situation that lasted quite some time. You won't find anyone better around, they will get the best results for you. read more

My name is Larry Beaugeard I am a client of Jared O'Connor. First off I want to say that I can't speak more highly about such a highly qualified person who is not only a good lawyer but became a very good friend. when I got hurt I had no idea where to turn my pay was small and I wasn't getting much in income. Well I decided to try to see if there was anything that could be done so I went to Shaheen & Gordon and I was introduced to mr. O'Connor. Well from there I knew I was lucky because the first thing is my son is named Jared and I knew right then everything was going to go well but I had no idea how good he was. He took all the fear and nervousness that I have about going up against my former company and their lawyers and put it in perspective that even a guy whose only worked all his life with his hands and in a truck could understand. I want to say that he has given me and my family a piece of life that we never thought we could have. The worry the uncertainty the insecurity about what's going to happen tomorrow is gone and it's all due to mr. O'Connor's hard work and Relentless effort to make not just my company treat me as a person and not just a number. But also made them realize that I lost both my knees due to 28 years of hard work and it was not just a fake accident or age catching up with me. Jared has giving me a chance to start new and fresh even at my 66 years of age and never worry about the things that come your way sometimes it pays to fight. I am not good at letter writing so I will end by saying thank you Shane and garden but most of all thank you Jared O'Connor my lawyer all you've done for me I can never in a million years tell you how grateful I am to your help. Sincerely LARRY BEAUGEARD read more
