It was also more of a theory lesson as we were first timers for trail horse riding. Once you sit on the horse you realize every single movement you make or don't make means something to the horse. Thanks to Jacklyn for helping us all the way along. The horse that I was on was fairly young and restless so kept wandering away or I wasn't able to control him. Jacklyn was kind enough to tow my horse all along the way. Since it was our first ride, we didn't venture very far away from the stable but did fairly steep ridges and mountains. My other two friends had calm more matured horses that were easy to manage. We loved the experience of bitless bridle horse riding and will definitely visit again if we are near Morongo valley.

They matched horses to the experience of the riders and tailored the trail ride to meet our needs as well. Georgia and Roxanne were fantastic guides - keeping us informed, entertained and having a truly memorable time together. I have been on numerous trail rides and this was by far the best. The horses were well loved and the grounds (including the restroom!) immaculate. They were patient, attentive, and encouraging with our girls, enabling them to feel confident on the ride. I love that they have rescued many of these animals and given them a home. You can tell these horses are well-loved pets. This is the second time going to this park where big dogs where in the small dog side. The first…read moretime there was a regular older man who had all his large dogs in the small dog side. He appeared to be somewhat of a conversationalist. He saw me hesitate and yelled, "come on in". I seen other big dogs in there and since no one was in the big dog side it appeared he was telling everyone to merge to the small side. I waited for a minute to observe what was going on and overheard him telling a young man that "sometimes rules are meant to be broken". It was a waste of time and gas for me. Just a note:, I adopted two small rescue dogs from the kennel and they are manic panic whenever they are near Large dogs which is why I bring them to the small designated side of the dog park until their trauma and recovery subsides. The second visit I noticed a very large Irish setter sheep hound type dog in the small dog park. Unfortunately, I had to say something as I wasn't about to turn around this time at the expense of some else's convenience. As the owner walked past me with his dog he said, "my dog doesn't like other bid dogs" . I replied, "I'm sorry to hear that but neither do mine so I am sure you van understand". Perhaps the city can post a sign at the entrance to enforce this rule in more detail since some people appear to feel they are above others?
