I got a set of portrait photos by Shadi, and I'm very happy with the quality. She made the entire experience enjoyable. I met her at her studio, with a couple outfit changes, and she was very attuned to taking pictures that captured my best possible looks and expressions. Her test poses and shots were kept to a minimum, just enough for her to understand how to pose me. I think that's where her professionalism and experience really comes through, is her consideration for her subject. The more I look at the shots, the more I realize that these are some of the best pictures of me up to this point in time. I hired Shadi for a photo shoot. She was very friendly and informative during our initial call and even gave me advice on the outfits to bring. I had never done a photo shoot before and was really nervous at the beginning. Shadi is very easy to talk to which really helped me get comfortable being in front of the camera. At first we started with indoor shots and then drove out to this beautiful park for some outdoor portraits. Throughout the entire photo shoot Shadi was really helpful in getting me in the right poses that looked best for me. When the photos were ready for review, we met and I got to see the prints. I loved them. I selected the photos I wanted and the prints were given to me in this beautiful box and the photos were emailed to me for downloading. My mom loved the prints and she hung them around her home. Shadi is an awesome photographer. She was professional, very kind and attentive throughout each step in the process. My review is long overdue, however it's never too late. I hired Shadi for my wedding photography, and I am very happy with my decision. Knowing that it's only one day in your life it's a huge responsibility to take on and Shadi gracefully took it. She was professional and very kind and attentive during the day. Knowing how stressed I was she suggested poses or even asked for my opinion about how I would like it. Not many photographers took upon themselves to hear let alone ask for suggestions. Shadi didn't take long to get the pictures to me. And she was again very friendly and professional in asking if I liked them or if I wanted to change anything about it. I only had to ask her to change one of my pictures for me just because I didn't like the way my eyes looked like, she had no problem with fixing it! This review is long overdue and honestly what I write here will probably not do Shadi's work justice. I have shot with many photographers, including Shadi a few times, and I must say after my session/photos with Shadi I have never looked for another photographer nor recommend another one to my family and friends. Shadi has mastered the art of photography! She has an eye for detail/angles and will capture moments that you have a hard time believing is real. Shadi is not the cheapest photographer in SD. However, she is worth EVERY PENNY. My jaw dropped when I saw my boudoir photos! Shadi's skills in catching the right light and right moment we're spot on! She was throughly prepared with poses and locations within balboa park where we had our engagement shoot. Shadi is AMAZING!!! I was in need of professional headshots and graduation pictures with only a 2 week window to have the photoshoot. I decided to contact Shadi after she was recommended to me by a friend. I sent her a detailed email explaining what I wanted for my shoot and within a day or two she followed up via phone and email. During our consultation, I provided her with examples of the poses/style I wanted to shoot and she thoroughly explained the services and photo packages she provided. My ultimate concern was pricing but Shadi had a package within my budget. The photoshoot session was fun and went smoothly. Shadi made sure I was relaxed and comfortable. She provided instruction for posing during the shoot and made sure to take pictures in the poses I requested. At the beginning of the shoot I mentioned I have curly hair and never wear it straight and was concerned about my hair cooperating during the shoot. Shadi gave me a heads up when my hair was starting to frizz or was out of place. The fact that she actually cared to be aware of my hair meant a great deal to me. The proofs from the shoot were available less than a week after the shoot day. Shadi took soooo many great pictures during the session that it was hard to narrow them down for my package. I can't wait to get my edited photos back! You cannot go wrong with Shadi. She is professional, talented, personable and takes great pictures.
