    New cushions for our mission glider rocker

    We had new cushions made for our mission glider rocker and are very happy with the work which included new foam. The workmanship was beautiful, superb customer service, and it was completed much faster than we anticipated for a fair price. We found fabric elsewhere that we preferred and they were happy to accommodate. We can't recommend them highly enough and will definitely reach out to them with future reupholstery projects and will recommend them to friends and family.

    What a great experience! I've never had furniture upholstered before. We had a grumpy dog who claimed our armchairs as his own; after a decade of use, the fabric was completely ripped up. After he passed, we wanted to replace the chairs, but they were discontinued, and as we had other furniture that was purchased as part of the set, we decided to get them reupholstered so our furniture would still match. SG Upholstery was great to communicate with: I sent them pictures of the chairs, and they sent me back an estimate for the labor. They're a father and son duo (Geo, the son, handles the business end, and his dad has 30+ years doing reupholstery). Communication was really prompt! I went by the shop and picked out fabric for the chairs, and Geo was nice enough to show me what projects they were working on, since I know very little about reupholstery and didn't really understand the process. His dad was working on a couch at the time, so I was able to see what goes into reupholstering the furniture, and I could tell how much time/pride they put into the work. Geo picked up the furniture from our house, and they had both chairs done in less than two weeks. It turns out I picked out a fabric that didn't quite match the original fabric, so Geo called to explain the situation, but said he had another one he felt was a better match. I told him to go ahead and order what he felt the right fabric; having seen their work at the shop, I felt confident that I could rely on them to get an exact texture/shade for the fabric. And WOW - when they delivered the chairs back to me, they looked BRAND NEW. Geo picked out a fabric that was absolutely a perfect match for the rest of the furniture set. You would NEVER know that the two armchairs were reupholstered - that's how perfect the match is! I can't tell you how impressed we are by the workmanship and quality; they look as good as the day we bought them. Amazing work, fast and friendly communication, and complete satisfaction over here - they really know what they're doing. Big recommend!

    Excellent experience! Cannot say enough good things about these guys. Attention to detail, quality work, quick turnaround. I am thrilled with how my two chairs turned out!

    If I could give this company zero stars I would. Typically, I try and limit my reviews to those…read morethat are more positive, but this company moved me to warn others. Pros, nice job upholstering two pillows. Cons, VERY expensive and took 2 months. But here's the bigger story. When I picked a fabric, Joel said it would be at least 10 weeks. I was fine with that, and made a calendar reminder to call him at 10 weeks for status. At 10 weeks I made a friendly call to check in, and he said it was going to be a couple more weeks. I was fine with that, too. But then for some reason things start to go sideways. He goes on to say "I TOLD you it was going to be 12 weeks, and that's what the contract terms were that YOU signed." I was a bit taken aback with the tone. I didn't argue. I did remind him that he had told me 10 weeks, but that it was okay because I was leaving town and there was no rush. So 2 weeks go by, Joel calls and tells me they are ready for pick up. Great. So far, so good. I tell him I'll be there on Friday. Friday I totally forgot to pick them up due to family issues and trying to leave town, and my bad for not calling him to change the pick up date. I felt awful about it. On Tuesday he calls me and starts screaming at me - I am not exaggerating - screaming that I was supposed to pick up the pillows, I need to pick them up immediately or have someone get them for me, he charges $20 per day for "storage" fees, and after "you calling repeatedly and bugging me the least you could do was pick them up on time." Things were escalating and I asked if he was kidding, and perhaps he had me mixed me up with another customer, as I had only called once and it had been a friendly chat. I apologized for not calling him on Friday to pick them up. He insisted that I had called repeatedly and bugged him "I even have your recorded messages!!!!" He kept interrupting me "now you listen to me!" he said. He was clearly out of control, so I told him I would pick up the pillows on Thursday and hung up. I got the pillows as promised on Thursday and he tried to make small talk. No contrition. No apology. Just acted like it hadn't happened. I would recommend you find someone else to help you with your upholstery needs who doesn't have anger management issues. Someone who will not charge you over $600 for two small pillows and then go off on you.

He was timely in his response to my inquiries as well as getting my chair back to me within the discussed time frame. He did a beautiful upholstery job that exceeded my expectations. I was very impressed by his workmanship. It was a wonderful experience all the way around. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family in the future.
