While we understand the importance of punctuality, the lack of flexibility and compassion was disappointing. What made the situation worse was the attitude of the staff. No one apologized or offered to help reschedule. In fact, it felt like they were more pleased to turn us away than disappointed to miss the chance to care for our pet. The interaction was cold, unhelpful, and frankly uncomfortable. If this is how they treat people, it's hard not to wonder how they treat the animals in their care.

If your online information states that you treat birds but that is no longer the case, it should be updated so pet owners aren't wasting their time calling. More importantly, basic courtesy and professionalism should be expected when someone is simply trying to find appropriate care for their pet.

They asked us to upload a video of Espy walking, talked us through what they were seeing, gave us guidance on what to do next, and - just as importantly - gave us some peace of mind while we monitored him at home. We were also able to refill his medicine through the APP which allows us to pick them today. What impressed me even more was that on today (Monday), Modern Animal proactively followed up to ask how Espy was doing. I was able to send them a new video showing that, thankfully, he was already doing much better. It may seem like a small gesture, but that follow-up meant a lot to us.
