Big fan of this train station! It's 100% fit for purpose and utilizes its rather small footprint effectively. Arrived here from Barcelona and was impressed at how easy it was to disembark and get through the main lobby of the station and out to the parking area where I got my Uber to go to the hotel. When departing Seville, arrived at the station about 45 minutes early and about 30 minutes before scheduled departure, they announced the gate for the train to Madrid and very effectively herded all the passengers down the ramps to the trains. Note here that security scanning of bags took place on the platform itself. In Barcelona, you scanned your bag before entering the waiting area. The station was very clean, staff was helpful, there were plenty of shops to get food, drink or souvenirs. Definitely one of my top 10 favorite train stations! read more

This is the largest train station in Sevilla. From here, people connect to every major or minor city in the country. There are hourly trains to many cities like Madrid, Malaga, etc. Some are direct, some are fast trains (AVE), some make many stops. The station is connected to the historic center by bus, taxi, ride share, etc. There are many shops and cafes in the station for those wanting to get something before their departure trip. read more

One of the nicer train stations I've been to in Spain. We arrived here this morning to catch a Renfe high speed Rail to Granada. The drop off drive has good circulation allowing the cabs to come in w/space to park & unload the passengers bags. The inside is nice & spacious w/seating a electronic board like the airports showing when your train is coming in & which track. The seating area has stores & places to grab a bite to eat or just to kill some time while waiting. When your train arrives in the station the board shows the track where you go. Before going down to the track level an agent checks your ticket to make sure you are at the correct train departing. On the platform your luggage & belongings are scanned like TSA @ the airports & the tickets are double checked to ensure that you are on the right track & train. Sevilla is the largest city in the Andalusia region and nice size train station. Supposedly a free WiFi but I couldn't figure out. Free restrooms. I had 50 cents coin in my hand, looking so desperate but it was free and clean. Thank goodness for free bathroom! If you travel in business class, they have a lounge here but the sign wasn't clear enough and I couldn't locate one. It wasn't too long before boarding started anyway, I just wanted to check it out. Plenty of shops and restaurants to take food on board. Plenty of taxi waiting outside. I think they also have My Taxi here. I didn't use them but remember seeing a logo. read more

Clean train station with shops such as: * Ale Hop * Body Shop * Natura * Imaginarium * Other shops that sold candy/snacks, accessories, headphones, cosmetics Eating spots included McDs and two other spots. While you can purchase tickets on the spot or via the kiosks, the best thing to do is purchase online and then enter your reservation number at the kiosk which can then print out a ticket. Skip the lines! The ramps down are automatic which make it very easy to get to your platform. English is limited at the information booth however - at least when I was there today! read more

I thought this station was decent, albeit sort of small. I came here a few times when I was in Seville and never had any sort of problems with ticketing or my gates. I purchased my tickets online and just walked onto the train when I went to Cordoba. When I went to Madrid, there were people actually checking my ticket and baggage prior to boarding the train, which seemed a lot safer to me, but I digress. The train service was a little late coming here when I went to Madrid, but only by a few minutes. There are places to eat here with free WiFi. The McDonald's has a full-size basketball court inside and there's a Body Shop here too. read more

We took a cab from our hotel nearby to this train station for 8 euros to catch the 11am renfe train to Malaga. We had bought one way tickets on line for 26 euros pp. The station is new, clean and orderly. There is no security screening at entry. The McDonald here is probably the cleanest and classist I have seen from trips abroad and in the US. It's not crowded or packed with tourists taking advantage of free WiFi. The McMuffin with bacon was very fresh & tasty! The overhead departure platform screen is easy to understand. There is an escalator descending to the train. Our sleek quiet 3-compartment train left the station right on time. Many stops on the way. read more

This is such a great train station. We took the train from Madrid to Seville, and things couldn't have gone any smoother.

It gets the job done, right? You need to go somewhere and you don't want to take the bus--take the train. The lines tend to be long to get your tickets, and you want to immediately find the machine that gives you the paper with a number on it. The first time we went, we didn't catch onto that immediately. Also if you want to specifically request to sit in a certain class of car, you have to ask, because they don't ask you which you prefer. The waiting seats aren't that comfortable, and it seems like they should have more bathrooms considering how many people are processing through here. It works well taking the speed train between here and Madrid and just a quick cab ride from here into the heart of the city. Some nice shops here if you have time to mill around. Car rentals are on the perimeter of the station, which can be tricky the first time you go, fyi. read more

this is a pretty standard train station, smaller than the ones in madrid and barcelona, but larger than the ones in some of the smaller cities. my husband and i arrived on a quick one hour express train from cordoba, a few minutes early, i believe, and had no problem navigating ourselves out of the arrivals area to the main station on the upper level. there were the usual shoppes with mobile phone services, souvenirs, toys, and the like. several cafes were also available in case you needed a cup of coffee, tea, sandwich, or pastry. there was a desk for tourist information, and they spoke a fair amount of english, enough to understand that i was seeking a map and directions to the nearest taxi. centrally located, and no more than a 10-15 minute taxi ride to the city centre and popular tourist destinations. tip: if you want to return to the train station, you need to say "estación de tren, santa justa" otherwise, the cabbie may take you to the bus depot, which is a bit of a hike back to the train station....and you may end up missing your train! read more

Not too crazy station and no issues with delays. Maybe three places to eat, one of them is McDonalds. Restrooms kind of yucky and no soap with most people not washing hands, lovely. 10 min taxi ride from the city center, at approx 10 eur cost. read more

Small-ish sized train station with the basics available. We took many day trips while in Seville and this was the main and closest station to our hotel. Clean but seemingly always congested with traffic, regardless of the time. There are shops and food available but many do not open till 9am. The schedule boards where tracks show up are bright, easy to read and all the lights work. The security is relatively easy and doesn't slow you down very much. Basically, you walk to the correct track where an agent checks your ticket, you stand on an elevated, sloped moving sidewalk that takes you down to the trains. Once there another agent checks your ticket as multiple trains are around. You put your bags and luggage on a big conveyor belt that scans it while security stands around then you walk/run to your coach where your assigned seat is located. I was on the train traveling from Seville to Madrid during Holy Week - the busiest day of the year - when I realized that my wallet with our passports and money was missing. With very limited Spanish, I tried to explain to the conductor what happened (I must have looked ready to pass out). He took us to the customer service counter in Madrid and explained what happened and that my wallet was in the train station in Seville since some honest soul had turned it in. Over the next six hours the staff worked diligently to get My wallet on a train from Seville to Madrid. They were wonderful in the middle of tens of thousands of tourists in the station heading out to celebrate in Seville. I can't express my gratitude enough for these harried workers helping me in my hour of desperate need. They saved our vacation from disaster. I would like to give a huge shout out to the great employees of Renfe, the Spanish train service. Thank you. read more
