We received water before and complementary tea and cookies after so that was very nice as well. We had paid for 90 minute massage and didn't end up with one. It was more like 75 minutes. After we said something about that, they tried to tell us that they started earlier, but since I was looking at my watch, which I always do, I said that was not possible. So they gave us a 10% discount which was satisfactory. We went for a couples massage after traveling for a bit thinking we would like to destress on our holiday. I'd say it was a good experience, not great. We'd probably go to a different massage place next time.

Everyone was very friendly and the prices are pretty reasonable. DermaQuest products available.

Only £5, yes £5 to have your eyebrows waxed, plucked or threaded (I think). Now I've been all over the place to have my brows done, including Shavata (the brow goddess in Harrods, £35, who sells various eyebrow shaping kit in every M&S) and although she is unquestionably good, this place runs a close second and for a lot less dosh! You won't come out feeling pampered but you will come out with enough cash to splash in the bars of Clapham to do enough eyebrow raising at the boys. If the rating was on quality of work I'd give it a 5 star, it is just the setting that lets it down.

I called them up on a whim on a Saturday morning to see if they had an hour massage slot free, and they said to come in at 1pm. So I was already chuffed that I could get an appointment so last minute. It's £30 for an hour and you can have either a swedish or thai massage. They also do all the other usual beauty services - all very cheap. They have a state of the art steam room and sauna, and the massage rooms themselves are really nice...but that's where the glamour ends. You have to be prepared for a bit of a rough and ready approach - the changing room (if you can call it that) is an old cupboard with some lockers in it and is big enough for one person, the towels are a bit grey and not so white anymore, the shower is also a converted cupboard, and take your own flip flops if you have issues with feet hygiene. But for £30 you're not going to expect the Sanctuary are you? So I got over my initial nose curling and just enjoyed my time there for what it was - a cheap and very good massage. I had a thai massage - it was the most intense hour of my life and the best massage I have ever had. She beat the crap out my knots and I walked out with limbs flaying about they were so loose. Intense, fantastic, relaxing...and for the price, I'm going back every month!

Thai massage is brilliant for relieving the tension that builds up in my shoulders and lower back from sitting all day. An hour at the merciful hands of my preferred therapist, June, makes me feel like a new man ready to take on the world. The results of such a quality massage actually last quite awhile too. I reckon at least a week later, I'm still feeling a little more limber and loose than I might otherwise have. For my money (which if I can slip over there on a weekday morning isn't really all that much!), Thai Therapeutics offers the best Thai massage available in London. Weekday mornings between 9.30 and 11.30 an hour long traditional Thai massage only costs £50 - a perfect deal for a freelancer like me! I've now had 20+ massages at Lanna Thai -- I know because I'm onto my third loyalty card, and once you complete the card, you get 30 minutes free! Lanna Thai, with every therapist I've had, has provided some of the best massages I've ever received. Considering it's right on the edge of London and surrounded by all the chaos and hustle of the city, you feel completely transformed when you leave. From the moment you arrive, they're attentive, kind and calm. Once you're on that table, you genuinely don't have to lift a finger. The place is always warm and clean, and the attention to detail is fantastic. The rooms themselves are simple rather than flashy, which I actually think adds to the traditional feel. Nothing is trying too hard to impress -- the focus is on the massage, and it shows. And the massage technique is incredible. They have extremely strong hands, but more importantly, they actually listen. You tell them what you want, and they respond to your body rather than simply following the same routine every time. If they feel an area of tightness, they'll tell you and work on it. Every massage feels considered and personalised. I don't even live here anymore -- the hustle and bustle of the city eventually became too much for me -- but every time I'm back visiting family and friends, I always make a stop in Putney for a 1.5-hour massage. If you haven't been, I genuinely cannot recommend Lanna Thai enough. They are truly amazing.

It was difficult to find a similar place in London (especially with the exchange rate back in 07! Eventually this spa popped up in my local town in Putney about 2 years ago offering 1 hr massages for a mere £35. It's relatively no frills but the rooms are pleasantly decorated but the walls are relatively thin so you may hear scuffling from the room next door. There is a steam room and shower downstairs as an option but I hardly use it. They offer 3 different types (Swedish, Combo and Thai) but I usually go for the Thai massage because it really gets the knots out of your back. I think it's a hit or a miss depending on the therapist you get but from my recent visit, it was definitely worth it.
