I'll be honest, I'm not really much of a cut flower kinda girl. Flowers, generally, should be left to live on the plant in my opinion, not cut and left to die in someones vase.
However, there is something about a florists shop itself that really appeals, and this place is a great example. I love the wet, earthy plant smell and the rows of colour and greenness. Seven Dials Flowers is much wider than it is deep, so even a casual passer by can see the goods on offer, and even if not planning on buying, I do like walking past here and peering in at what's inside.
Unlike many florists, there seems to be a good range of affordable bunches - starting from around £2.50. They also sell lots of bulbs in pots for you to grow your own flowers - now, that's a much better idea. read more
