I rarely write reviews, but this experience deserves attention. I had a colonoscopy at this…read moresurgical center and, although the procedure itself went smoothly and the anesthesiologist was attentive, nearly everything else about the facility and staff was disorganized, inattentive, and at times downright unprofessional. To begin, my appointment was scheduled for 12:30 PM, yet I wasn't called in until 1:30 PM. The nurse casually explained that "the doctor's paperwork states patients may have to wait longer because he's always very busy." That's an unacceptable attitude toward patients who are fasting, dehydrated, and exhausted after an all-night prep. The front desk staff were equally dismissive, giving short, condescending responses when multiple patients asked about the delay. No one offered an apology or update. Once I was finally called in, I was told to place my belongings in a locker--but there were no keys, so all lockers were wide open. I was advised to take my purse with me and put it under my bed. The gowns were of the cheapest, scratchy material, and no slippers or socks were provided. What felt especially ironic was that, while I was explaining to the anesthesiologist that I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (a connective tissue disorder requiring, among other things, extreme care with IV placement), the nurse attempting to insert my IV seemed completely unaware of how to handle this properly. She repeatedly smacked the back of my hand to "bring up the vein," which was extremely painful and contraindicated for someone with fragile veins. Despite my saying "ouch" multiple times, she did not stop or reposition the IV. The lack of professionalism continued after the procedure. No one offered water, or provided a call button for assistance. I lay in my recovery bed for about 20 minutes before the doctor appeared briefly to summarize results that were already written on my discharge paper. Finally, though the center required an emergency contact and driver for pickup, no one called my contact to let him know I was done. He only found out because I texted him myself while getting dressed. When he arrived, there was not a single staff member around to check me out or acknowledge my departure. To make matters worse, several hours after the procedure, my hand is still swollen, red, and painful from the IV site--clear evidence of how poorly it was handled. The only positive aspect of the entire experience was the anesthesiologist, who took my EDS seriously and provided good care during the procedure itself. Otherwise, this center demonstrated poor patient communication, lack of basic amenities, and an alarming disregard for safety and respect. I strongly recommend that others consider alternative facilities where patient well-being and professionalism are treated as priorities.

I have to stop & take the time out to write a review in regards to my incredible doctor, Dr. Parham…read moreAmini of Northridge Pain Management Center whom goes out of his way for his patient's, making sure the both of you are on the same page & comfortable. From walking in Dr. Amini's medical offices 4+ years ago in my early 40's, I received a wonderful & warm experience from start to finish. From the front & back office staff, to any medical procedures, managing my ongoing health, along with Dr. Amini addressing any health concerns or questions I have, I quickly realized I was in the finest care. This highly skilled & knowledgeable medical practice is the best of the best & if I could give the entire office more than 5 stars, I would. I'd been living 20+ years daily with severe neck & back pain, including major cervical disc trauma etc...& been through a handful of "pain management" doctor's, to NO avail. My new insurance company referred me to Dr. Amini whom passes NO judgement, truly is understanding & together we've managed my pain & he's basically handed back to me my incredible life I'd been missing. If you have the opportunity to make an appointment to see Dr. Amini, consider yourself & health in the finest, most skillful hands. Respectfully Yours, Tracy Straughn Chatsworth, CA

What a horrible place When I walked in had a very bad gut…read morefeeling about this place but unfortunately I was in pain so I had to stay. They gave me lots of forms to fill out, had some questions on it but receptionist had no clue what it was so kept telling me to skip it. Then I was called to go to the back to see the nurse practitioner Orah Mahtove. I had to keep repeating myself that my pain was both knees and hips osteoarthritis and lower back disc pain. She was going to send me for cat scan which I already had informed her that it's on my medical portal or they could requested from my previous pain management office (Which I miss a lot) so she finally got my records, what a joke NP Orah was, had to keep repeating myself and she still didn't make the correct notes. I was told to go to scheduling to set injection appointment, wow so rude, no personality. Then I received a call from Radnet to set CT Scan appointment and they were asking for details, according to Radnet they didn't receive any detail info and it was only one hip. So I had to call the office few times to remind them it's my hips and knees, but since they wouldn't answer the phone or return calls. Oh yeah they have a sign that says text us it's faster, lol it's automated text that was asking questions that I already communicated during my first text. So I get my CT appointment, when I arrived, I tried to confirm again that it's for my hips and knees, but come to find out the NP Orah had send in only for my hips. I tried to call the office they said it will be discussed when I go in for my lower back injection. Injection day came, the doctor did good. Quick and easy. I asked to speak to NP Orah, but I was told I have to wait again for the phone followup. So I had to wait for 2 more weeks. Phone follow up, she was late over an hour, I had to call the office few times, finally when she called, I brought up all the issues that I'm still waiting for my Knee CT referrals and hip injections, which had no clue about them, she had to go get them, after she came back, rudely she commented that she will submit the authorization for the knee CTs and for an orthopedic to check my condition. She already has most of my CT images for injections but she is incompetent so she has to make me wait to go see orthopedic. I miss my previous pain management staff, this place is a messssss, should be call "long term Pain chaos". Finally I had to go to urgent care since I couldn't wait another 4 weeks for orthopedic NP Orah should go back to school and improve her listening, note taking skills, while at it human kindness. Don't bother giving a phone number like the rest of your other many complaints, I'm already in the process of authorizing another real pain management office. BBYE

The front staff is always polite, kind, accommodating, and efficient. Dr. Amini performed a medial branch nerve block on both sides of my L5 and L6. It not only relieved my back pain but also helped with the neuropathy in my legs and toes. This procedure was quick and didn't require general anesthesia. Before the actual treatment, there was a "test run" with a local anesthetic to see if it would help, and it did! The bumpy road from the street into the parking lot initially bothered me. But after the test, I found it helpful because it showed that the treatment worked! Sadly, I've had to change medical groups because I moved 36 miles away. My new group doesn't do as good a job, and I'm trying to get authorization to see Dr. Amini again. I've never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time to be seen, meaning upcoming appointment dates or waiting in the lobby. The front staff has always been accommodating, even when I was late to my appointment or overdue on payments. Plus, they're proactive about handling paperwork with my insurance. While it's inconvenient that the office is closed for lunch, I truly appreciate that they give their staff proper breaks. I've also never had issues with them calling me back or being inefficient. The only thing I'm upset about is that I thought I'd posted this review already! PS: Dr. Amini has a brother who is a retina specialist doctor, so don't get confused!

I've spoken to her twice and both times she has an attitude. The other girls in the office were great and helpful. I had called to get information on a referral that I was supposed to have processed through the office in February and I was told that they were unable to verify the insurance so that if I wanted to call the doctor and ask them if they take my insurance I can and I explain to Blanca how am I supposed to process the referral? I can't do that on my own. I'm only a patient and do I call them back or do I call my primary doctor back and she said that it was up to me because it was a courtesy that they were doing for me by figuring out if the doctor took my insurance. How does that make sense? If you were the ones that said you were referring me to a neurosurgeon but then I have to figure out that information and then what do I do with it? It's been going on about three weeks now that I'm trying to get information as to who the doctor is that they were trying to refer me to and every time I call I'm told they don't see anything on my chart and they will talk to somebody and give me a call back. I don't hear anything and then I call back and it's the same scenario. I just want the name of the doctor so I can have my primary doctor do the referral and be done with this office!
