First of all, I am reviewing this as a tourist, not as a local. I can't compare this to many other German hotels.
I loved this chain while I traveled in Germany. I had to do my study abroad and was going to the Goethe Institut in Goettingen. After landing in Frankfurt I found this nice little chain (B+B) nearby that had a reasonable breakfast, comfortable and trendy rooms, and decent prices. Often in Germany I stayed at hostels when possible, but the night I needed it before starting school in town, they were all booked up with the other international students about to start the summer session. I was happy to see there was a B&B near the town I was going to be spending 8 weeks at.
This location is not necessarily handy as I had to call a taxi to get back into Goettingen, which took about a 15 or 20 min drive if I recall, but the staff was very nice. I don't know about your German skills as a tourist, but I conversed with staff in German and though they noticed my accent, they were very polite and actually continued to speak German with me. The Frankfurt chain started speaking English after I let the lady at the desk know I had a reservation even though I expressed this in German.
The room was spacious, the breakfast - traditional German and everything looked fresh and tasty, and every part of the hotel seemed very clean and well taken care of.
They do have wifi, but it is through T-mobile. If you are going to be in Germany a while and need to get on the internet in public places frequently, I recommend buying a month of t-mobile connection. It isn't very cheap, but it's what is available in most hotels - including this one.
I would recommend the B&B chain to anyone traveling in Germany looking for the basics without sacrificing cleanliness or a morning breakfast. read more
