It looks like a relatively clean and normal rest stop, so I couldn't imagine anything being amiss about it and we went ahead and each ordered lunch - a currywurst for me and a regular wurst for him. First off - everything is extra. Including a piece of hard (nearly stale) bread to go with the wurst. Okay, fine - it's a rest stop, and they'll get you where you can. Still, sodas are incredibly expensive, as is bottled water. Far worse is the quality of the food. My currywurst was incredibly bland, and really had no redeeming quality besides sating hunger. My friend though, had a far worse time of it. Despite complaining of the bread and the wurst, hunger won out and he wolfed the meal down. Unfortunately, a few hours later (fortunately, after our road trip was over) I got a text saying that he had gotten food poisoning and was sick all night. Avoid this rest stop at all costs. Eat something before you get on the A3, or pack a sandwich and pull off somewhere to have a picnic, or just deal with the hunger. Stopping here for a bite will only lead to a bad end.

Another car cannot pass by while a car is in refueling position. They accept Payback card here so you can earn Payback points with your fuel purchase. They have food and a refrigerated beverage section, fairly standard for a rest stop. The toilets are downstairs, by the entrance. You have to go down the stairs and pay at the turnstile to enter. The restrooms were fairly clean. Don't forget to move your car after you pay for gas before you go to the bathroom so the next car can come by.
