We really enjoyed wandering through the market and sampling different foods while watching the local vendors at work. There are also several small restaurants and counter-style eateries where you can enjoy freshly prepared seafood, tapas, and traditional Catalan dishes.
If you want a quieter experience, it's worth arriving earlier in the day before the crowds build up.
