I started with Kim as a beginner yogi and quickly learned the ropes by taking a few private session yoga classes with her. Since then, I have learned so much by attending group classes. This studio really is a hidden gem. There is so much character on the outside of the building but even more when you walk inside. It reminds me of a yoga studio that you would see in downtown Manhattan. Aside from how nice the studio is, it's always very clean & tidy. I have taken the majority of my yoga classes with Kim but have also taken several of Carlos classes. Both instructors are great and get you to work up a good sweat during your session. While I love one-on-one yoga sessions with Kim so I can target specific areas, I love the group classes she offers throughout the month where I have met very friendly ladies of all age groups who inspire you to push through. I have never felt complete relaxation like I do after one of Kim's classes. It is not only a good workout, but wonderful meditation and relaxation time. If you want to drown out your stress or clear your mind, or even just break a good sweat...I highly recommend a yoga session with Kim and/or Carlos. The women in the group class just add to the happiness you feel while doing Yoga. They are all so friendly and aren't there to judge but to inspire and support you. I love Heart Flower Studio!

I used to attend barre classes regularly and more than 80% of the class was at THE BARRE (10% warm-up and 10% abs on the floor). The class I attended here was more of 60%. My friends who had attended a few weeks before said the same thing. This was just one class. Maybe there are others classes or even other instructors that are more barre intensive. But my expectation was not met in that regard especially for a specialty class with that namesake. I would go again to try another class. I did fee like I got a good workout and the instruction was fine overall.

She walks around the room making sure everyone has the correct form and will gently correct you when needed, which I really appreciate because it helps prevent injuries and keeps your posture on point. She explains everything so clearly, and you can truly tell she's passionate about what she does. If you've been thinking about trying Pilates or are looking for a new studio, definitely check out Inbalance. They have a few locations around town, and I promise, you'll be hooked.
