I've been dealing with some shoulder issues for a couple years now, which was only exacerbated by moving. Taylor gave me the BEST massage of my life and was able to work out the pain. I'll be returning, at least monthly, for some body maintenance :) read more

I tried Serenity Massage for the first time since my favorite massage therapist moved to this location. It's a much farther drive from my place, but I've been with Taylor Dodd for many years. The building has ample parking, but I had an early appointment so I don't know if the 2 restaurants get busy and patrons take up most of the parking spaces. The reception area is welcoming with some retail items for sale. It certainly did not give that spa feel. Each therapist decorate their own room, and sadly, Taylor had the smallest room. It felt cramped in the room ( I was spoiled with her much larger room at the last place). Of course, she's the reason I drove all the way to Stanwood - Taylor is compassionate and thorough. She really focuses on relieving tension and pain on your back, neck and feet. read more

I had a very uncomfortable and awkward massage at Serenity. I took a chance buying a Groupon for a massage and will not make that mistake again. I have never been asked by a massage therapist if they could push down my "undies" to focus on rubbing my hip and butt, nor have I had someone focus so intently on my inner thigh during a massage... The only tension or stress there was created by the person touching me. It was the least relaxing massage I've ever had, on many levels. The tapestries, hung on the ceiling and walls, and Christmas lights, felt more like a college dorm room than a spa or salon. Other male massage therapists tend to apply more pressure than I like. In spite of requesting more pressure, I got soft rubbing, it barely qualified as a massage. I regret not leaving as soon as I started to get a bad feeling. I could give two stars because the shop doesn't seem bad but I'm leaving it one because they hired him and I have a persistent uncomfortable and unsettling feeling after the massage. Lesson learned, when going to little massage shops always ask about credentials and don't hesitate to leave if uncomfortable. read more

I've had several appointments with Brad. He has really helped me with the horrible knots in my back. He listened to what I needed and told me some great stretches to do at home. What a great place to go if you want to leave feeling better! He have healing hands, a deep understanding about how the body works and a profound capacity for empathy. Looking forward to my next appointment. read more

I look forward weekly to my massage treatments with massage therapist, Brad.He is highly professional and very kind. Brad goes out of his way to make sure I am comfortable. Each therapists room is decorated to their personal taste and since I share a Celtic heritage with Brad, I find his tapestries enjoyable and his room a peaceful space to relax in to a therapuetic massage. I have recommended Brad to many family members and friends without any hesitation. He also will suggest another one of the Serenity Massage therapists if he is too busy or if he thinks one of them would be a better fit. I'm 57 and Brad is the best massage therapist I have ever found. Brad specializes in deep tissue and active releases to enhance range of motion. read more

Wouldn't even bother trying. Nobody answers the phone during working hours. There is no opportunity to leave a voicemail. You cannot even contact them through email without having to download software to your computer. All i wanted to do was get a gift certificate and they made it way too hard. Can't even answer a phone during working hours read more

I had a 90 min deep tissue massage with Brad. I'm a good size guy and when I saw him I thought there is no way this little dude is going to be able to do deep tissue. I was wrong. He has good technique, professional, friendly. He was very accommodating to my issues and found spots that I didn't even know were issues. His room was a bit cramped but he did well making it work. Meaning while laying on the table I could reach straight out from side to side and touch both walls...lol The business itself is very nice and friendly. Relaxed yet professional. Being a guy it is sometimes a little uncomfortable to walk into places that are to foo foo or designed with only the female perspective. Serenity is very comfortable for the guys too. read more

A very professional and relaxing atmosphere as good as it gets here. Highly recommend Serenity massage worth the visit :)

It's been a while since my massage here but I wanted to leave a review since they keep emailing me to get another service. I'm a massage therapist and have worked in many locations but I never worked in a place that didn't ask for verification of a gift certificate. My husband bought me an hour service for my birthday, I'd just moved and was really looking forward to it. I made the mistake of extending it to a 90 minute since I really needed the relaxation and focused work. The front desk seemed to be operated by the therapists and they didn't seem like they knew exactly what they were doing. Then there was the massage...I can't remember the man's name but it was the oddest massage I ever had. I requested a deep tissue with focused work on my shoulders, hips, and neck. What I got was 75 minutes of assisted stretching of my legs and hips and then he says to me "Ok so we have 15 minutes left so what would you like me to do?" Wow! The decor was an interesting choice, slightly distracting. I try not to bag on other therapists but I honestly feel that this guy isn't a good therapist. read more

The staff at Serenity Massage has always been great. I have had massages from almost everyone there and they are wonderful. I have had the privilege of getting several massages from Brad. He listens to what I have to say, understands where I am in pain, and explains everything in detail when he moves from muscle group to muscle group. He has taught me multiple ways of stretching and rubbing out my muscles while at home or on the go. I always get the deep tissue massage and he ensures that the pressure is perfect for me. He also cares about my music choices and is open to changing it whenever I ask. Brad is very friendly, honest, knowledgeable and always has my needs at front of mind. I highly recommend Brad especially if you need deep tissue massage. You will not be disappointed!! read more

Fantastic care! He really knows what he doing and has ways provided a respectful and therapeutic massage. Mimi B must have issues; she couldn't be more wrong... about everything.
