Good place, but a little pricey. Not the type of spa experience that I expected based on price points.

***DO NOT DO IT TO YOURSELF***…read more We've had this membership for at least 6 years and paid every month through autopay for all but the last 90 days. Today, I get a call from the spa manager (Mick) who tells me that they were going to terminate the membership because we can't cover $420 in credits that we incurred over the last 90 days (mind you the credits are not in our account so what am I paying for??). I thought the thing was paused earlier this year after a conversation with them, but that's neither here nor there at the moment. Financially its not a good time for us to spend an additional $140/mo on these memberships. Mick informed me that we have 90 days to use the remaining credits. Now, if we do the math I have 22 credits and my husband has 22 credits, that's 44 credits. If we multiply that by $70 we're at $3,080 that we've ALREADY spent (not to mention the tips we leave) that we're about to lose. The last time I checked, that would mean we have to visit there every other day for the next 90 days. WTF?? This is where customer service would be great. How do you say that to someone with a straight face??? We've been customers at this location for 6 years! And this is what it comes down to? No offer to pause. No offer to do anything else but terminate. No offer to do anything that would even begin to salvage a long standing relationship. NOTHING. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Go somewhere that people actually appreciate your business. I'm not asking for the world but after 6 years, you would think that a human with half of a brain would look at that and say, 'let's find something that works'.

I don't think I'll be returning to this location or any other hand & stone location at all. I…read morescheduled an appointment at a specific time, the massage therapist came out a few minutes after the scheduled appointment. The therapist had the nerve to end the massage early instead of making up for the minutes that were taken from me. I specified the areas that I wanted targeted and that were causing me pain, but I guess I wasn't specific enough. Why do I need to explain physiology to a professional massage therapist?? I got off the table unsatisfied for sure. Prior to the massage I asked the young lady at the front desk if I could pay beforehand. She expressed that "unfortunately, we can't accept payments before the massage just in case there is something wrong with the massage." What she expressed made no sense to me and wasn't a justifiable excuse, but I went along with it. If something is wrong with the massage, then a refund or discount could be offered. In addition, let's say there is something wrong with the massage, what are you going to do, send me back and start all over?? I've never seen that happen before, so I don't see the big deal about paying in advance. Low and behold I was not satisfied with the massage. And guess what? I was still forced to pay for the massage. So I guess that excuse of me not being able to pay in advance really didn't matter because I still had to pay whether the massage was good or not. Due to the inconvenience of prohibiting me from paying in advance and the massage being beyond subpar, I definitely will not be returning!
