I've never been a fan of Serenitea, since I've always kinda thought they were a little overpriced for milk tea, especially since there are so many cheap, but good alternatives, and I never saw what their unique selling point was, really. Still, the craving strikes when it strikes, and when I'm in the Greenfield area, like at a Starbucks with my colleagues where I don't want to have coffee, I cross the road and get a Serenitea to smuggle in. I'm not sure if they've gotten cheaper or if I've gotten a little more forgiving in my stinginess, but either way I've warmed up to them.
They do have a good assortment of products--they even have legit food--but I'm ever just interested in just the milk tea. And it can get somewhat banal to understand what the difference is between Emperor Milk Tea and Okinawa Milk Tea and Nagoya Milk Tea, etc. At least they give you options though!
The nice thing about this branch is that they're open until 10 pm and they've got a nifty second floor space with couches and tables, which is a great place to do work on your laptop or just pass the time with your friends and nice milk tea. read more
